For when/if this discussion gets split off:

Yes, perhaps a Mod could split the thread.
It would keep this one tidy and the new thread would serve as an example of how not to look like a WW2 soldier whilst wearing WW2 soldier clothes?
We could include the 'Belfast carry', that always looks crap with WW2 kit. Great with dpm and an SLR though.

Why don't you start the new thread for all your comments? You are starting to wind people up, me for one, I don't give a flying fech about you and your comments as long as I get to dress up as a sdier and playgames , like I said, this is the wrong thread, where's your pics? :ghey:

I have to concur, this is a airsofting forum and while everyone likes to look right...correct gun handling doesn't really apply with airsoft weapons does it.

Ok Kinder

It's Xmas so's you will all play with your new feckin toys nicely please or Unkle Old Un will start dishing out 48 hour passes to no forum land ....

My perspective,I tend to agree, if you like your pics and go to great lengths to get your uniform , vehicles and equipment right , then handling the weapons correctly would enhance not detract from it all?. As a left handed "German" I have forced myself not to carry or use my weapons with my left hand , coz that's how they Germans were. It's my personal choice .

Finally if someone does point out thing you may wish to take on board from a historical view, can we stop with all this "I'm an airsofter not a reenactor" nonsense ? Especially when it comes from people who take exquisite pains to get things right in other areas of their WW2 interest, and reenact too . WW2 airsoft is no less valid than sat at MV shows "reenacting" so the portrayal of one as "ok to get it wrong" and the other as "terrible to get it wrong" is naff. There should be no need for double standards at all . It would be a lot more honest just to say "I'm not that bothered about that" rather than try to justify it with such spurious thoughts .

Right more pictures now please .

all taken on board old'un, but i just wanted to point out i re-enact at renactment shows for the public, this is for fun and less serious to me, like my jeep, its right hand drive, my armoured jeep too and they are both close enough for airsoft such as the looky likey guns people use, there is a bit of a difference dont you agree?. im not here to push my thoughts on anyone, just saying how i feel about others pushing thiers on me, all fair and just a difference of opinion, so no harm done, its not upset me in the slightest, i just do what i enjoy and try not to piss other people off while i have fun.
anyone else got any nice pics?

Rammix you've got that "gerry enjoying a smoke for the camera" look to a fine art!

I might now take up smoking just to get that look LOL.

There are many good photo's from some great events in 2010 but, my vote goes to Martin's excellent Boryszyn Loop video, by far the best airsoft video I've ever seen.

We're into the new year but still thought I'd post a few pics up. These were taken at Players of War, the UK's only WW2 themed airsoft site. Lucky me I live a 15 minute drive from it :D

I mostly do generic German Heer and Waffen SS, but now and then go US infantry and I am currently putting together a P37 Battledress based British loadout, havent decided on specifics yet.

I'd love to play a CIA event. Next time one is held in the North I've decided I will definitely come along. I'm sure there are a few of the guys from up here that would be up for it if circumstances allowed but if it is just me on my tod, so be it!

Check out Infinite Mischief May 28 & 29 in North Wales. Far enough up North for you? German Heer is perfect and the hospitality is second to none.
