What's the preferred eye protection for WWII airsoft these days?

I have some guarder glasses I use for general skirmishing and will use for WW2 skirmishing. come with 4 sets of lenses, foam bits around the eyes that are removeable, a bag, a case, ear pieces, and a strap

top notch glasses.

Another vote from me for the Guarders. Had 'em for a couple of years now and they seem to work well for me.

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Is there much chance of getting a hit between eye and lens with the "glasses" type protection?

the guarders come with a internal plastic/foam lined bit that fit just inside the glasses. these create a seal around the inside stopping bbs from getting through. they also allow air to get in. On some very hot days I do remove the foam/plastic bit as it absorbs perspitation and causes steam up. but even then there isnt much of a gap

I`ve been playing for 3 years with glasses type protection and never had a hit between the lens and the eye ( and I`ve been shot in the head enough times  ) I don`t think I`d ever wear a full mask especially in WW2 airsoft, I saw a pic of a 'german' airsofter with a stahlhelm and full face mask and it looked like something out of star wars

I've seen archive pics of WWII US troops wearing what look like skydiver goggles. Presumably modern skydiving goggles don't conform to the appropriate safety standards?

+1 for the siliums :)

I have a pair of clear and a pair of smoked, never let me down yet. Good wrap-around at the sides and fairly low profile.
The clear set I stripped down and cam'd the silver frame with spray paint - when the face is cam'd also, they arn't noticable at all !

If you're a glasses wearer and need to have prescription inserts I can highly recommend EPS Goggle which are worn by many military personnel.

Also their anti-fog wipes are incredibly good, but expensive. Worth it though.

For anti-fog you can't do better than "Holt's Screenies" available for a couple of pounds for 30 odd at your local Halfords. One wipe in the morning and my goggles (plus glasses) are clear all day.

Credit goes to the chap on Arnies who found these but I can't find the link to their original post.

heres a good little secret for you. forget all those anti fog bits and bobs. use fairy liquid. yep thats right. fairy liquid. put a decent size drop onto your lense and wipe it around with a tissue or soft cloth. then wipe it off with another bit of that cloth

works a treat and lasts all day. Has to be proper fairy though as the other brands dont seem to do the job for some reason

pmsl I tried the fairy liquid trick on my motorcycle helmet once.... word to the wise use the least possible

I believe furniture polish has the same effect (or so I've been told by other bikers) but I haven't tried it ;)

I used to use fairy liquid too, but trust me, the Holt's Screenies are much better - less smeary and lasts more reliably all day without re-application.
