Won't someone think of the children!?!
What would Mother's Against Fun think!?!?!?!
I don't pay my tax to have the police posing for photos with terrorists.
Etc.

Dunno I'm a mother 4 fun
I think it sound great, more so that the police were actually getting involved and asking about it

By the way, someone should tell the police that the policeman has stolen one of the suits from Tron.

That's absolutely brilliant, Welsh - good show mate. ![]()

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Nice one Welsh, great initiative (and very forward thinking of your local police force). I'm staggard you have firearm officers on the IOW though!

Good work there fella! Also, nice to see a more enlightened approach from Plod - showing that Airsoft *isnt* what GCN, MAG et al make it out to be.

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Um I was gonna say his insignia was incorrectly located lol and watch not worn on a chain, oh these newfangled officers lol
Nice work chaps, considering the number of coppers who play airsoft I`m surprised that a few sites haven`t done this before.
Jeks is a copper, but where he works the locals would probably turn up with real guns! ![]()

I belive the feds are coming along to cheack out UCZ this weekend aswell if thats to learn or to try and bust people who spreyed there two tones i dont know.
Good work Welsh I like the 999 event you came up with I suspect that is why things have gone so well for you.
This could/ should set a trend for other sites to copy.

Free speech is expensive these days!

Sorry for the necro post, But most coppers have a very good attitude towards airsoft, those who know about it. I do agree that more sites should encourage the local police to attend events. Ignorance is dangerous in any walk of life. Very few coppers know about the VCRA and in reality, those who do know about it have the same sort of view as we do. I'm spreading the word at my nick and It's funny how many police are involved in the sport. Still they are going to love my new uniform ![]()

Heres a great idea ,one that shows how forward thinking the police are here .one of our players , a copper ,came to us with £328 and asked if they sent kids that had gone the extra mile to us how many games could they have for this money ? so we took it a step further and used that cash from the police to buy 5 toy guns and for our part we would supply bbs food drink and combat fun in an on going youth reward scheme . we will also sit down with the kids and discuss misuse of such things as rifs and real guns ,so for everyone its win win and an idea other sites may wish to look at it costs us peanuts as they tag along on a normal day and for the cost of a sarni and a few bbs the rewards to our sport comes back ten fold
Some Policemen turned up at proteus once, and were really interested. Neither of them knew about the legislation about RIFs and what not, it was some what of an aducation for them, but i believe they have been back there and played since.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes at any Airsoft game to know that the players are not a bunch of thugs or wannabee gangstas. Geeks (and proud of it!) maybe, but blingin' chav hoodies? Not a chance!
