Happy new year guys, lets hope that 2007 gets WW2 Airsoft going from strength to strength!

Happy new year !
I look forward to pushing the Allies back to the Atlantic in '47 ![]()
What a strange final 6 weeks or so of 2006! I went from posting that I thought the Battle of the Bulge kit restrictions were too stringent, to ordering myself a complete German outfit.
I have all my accessories (minus working pistol
) but I'm still waiting for the uniform to arrive. Not long now, hopefully. And together with Warren and another friend, I am hoping to build the world's first airsoft Gewehr 43 - well, a good approximation, at least.
So, with all this outlay, I need some WW2 airsoft events to go to in 2007!

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I hate to mention it, but Nordland in japan (when they were in business - so thats a few years ago!) used to make G43's with a highly modified V3 box and the Shoei G43 shell.
Lovely gun, had a chance to look at one a couple of years ago. In hindsight, I should have distracted the owner and pegged it with his pride and joy lol

Aye, the Shoei one looks beautiful, but the price is pretty extortionate.

I suspect he can sell a lot more non working replicas to gun collectors than he can the odd airsoft weapon to WWII obsessed softers.
BTW - congrats to turning to the dark side Steiner , plenty iron crosses for you in '47
Look forward to seeing the pics.
Happy New Year to everyone, I`m new to this forum but been on ascuk and arnies for a couple of years. As regards new AEGs the Chinese seem to be the only innovators at the moment, with the gearbox in the MP40 and M14 maybe we`ll see a few more inexpensive WW2 SMGs and semi auto rifles coming along. I did hear a rumour of a bolt action KAR98 springer but don`t know how true it was. Have a good one. ![]()

I guess.... but if I were a gun collector, would I really be interested in some brand new non-firing replica of an old gun? I dunno.
Danke, Herr ...... whatever rank you are! Once I get the uniform I'll need to ask for advice on badges, etc.

Hauptmann ! The rank slide is the giveaway ![]()
BTW I have some EKII ribbon for your second button hole if you'd like some . had to buy a metre when all you need is a few inches . I've already "decorated" Chomley !
Anyway... happy new year! ![]()
Happy New Year to you all too. Here's hoping for a cheaper airsofting year!

Happy New Year, don't worry the war will be over by Christmas ![]()

Entschuldigen, Herr Hauptmann!! Are you the Hauptmann in the film "Stalingrad", with the false hand?? He was cool!
I would be honoured to be decorated thus. I actually have a WWI EKII.
Happy New Year to you all too. Here's hoping for a cheaper airsofting year!
Yeah, right.....
Some hope!

Ah crap. After seeing pics of the G43, my mate has realised it needs to be machined, and he doesn't have the equipment.
Project cancelled. ![]()

A belated happy new year from me. Hopefully there will be many more ww2 games for us all this year and maybe even some time and money for me to get to them.
Sorry to hear about your project steiner. I was hoping to make myself a G43 of sorts using a M14 as a base but its likely to not be cheap or easy so it will have to wait a while.
My friend who had offered to make the stock didn't realise that it ran almost the whole length of the gun. And after seeing the pictures, he said to do it properly, it would need machining, and he just didn't have all the tools. The project was only really "do-able" because I knew he wouldn't charge me much for the stock.
Oh well, saved me some money..... which I now think I'm just about to spend. ![]()
