As we have close to 250 members on site i'm curious to know how many of our members are committed gamers and how many just use this site as a resource or occasional browse.

So how often do you read/use these pages?

I've constantly got this forum and 'thehockeyforum.com' open in the background while I 'work'. I work for myself from home so no-one to bust me for excessive forum usage anymore

Same here, stuck in my wee office in the bowels of the hospital (it's soundproof and built like a bomb shelter). I have this, my email and usually ZeroIn or BBC news always open.

Just noticed that, god you say alot. You must have far more to say, the users with highish post counts are far more knowlegdable than low counters, It is a well know forum fact that.

Slightly Off topic, Does it annoy you when that attitude is used on other forums to prove who knows more/ better?

Im not inferring anything, but if you would like to draw conclusions that is up to you, after all what would I know, you have far more posts than I. (That is worrying, Steiner 1021, me 962 if I had had my own net acsess when the forum started then it would probably be double what it is)

first question surely that is objective and could just mean those with a higher count chunter more, can't count me in that am still in 3 figures :D

Second question, yes on one forum in particular where they use it to big up themselves meaning the rating actually means jack chit ..... tis funny reading some of their arse kissing comments to each other tho  especially when a squabble amongst them kicks off  and they all rush to press the thumbs down

Yes, I agree. With everyone. About everything*

*This is a post purely intended to raise my post count so I am superior to everyone else.

No I think what Syds saying is the forum phenomenum of people who post the most often come across as being the most knowledgable, whereas in fact they might just not forum much . Take Ernie or the Majotr, both veritable mines of info regarding our hobby , but neither post a lot , as opposedot me woh posts all the time and knows feck all .
I've seen this phenomenum on many other forums I've modded or joined, the "oldsweats" with 000's of post lord it over the other whether they know better or not. And of course I wouldn't dare mention which a/s forums that might have been observed on

Just like to add, incase anybody didnt get it, the first fact is verry tongue in cheek, I donot claim to know everything about anything, and anyone that does is too stupid to talk to.

The second is a real dig at other forums.

Also, please dont take anything I say too seriousley unless you can see my eyes, I cant be seriouse, it hurts too much.
