Sicily is the best start for any potential recruit to the Regio Esercito (Royal Army) as the uniforms were so varied for the troops on the island.
You get to choose from Il Duces finest, the Nembo Paracadusti (Italian camo - yay!), the regular 'Fantaccino' rifleman - wearing both the continental and tropical style uniforms, and the blackshirt CCNN/MVSN Fascist volunteers.
The quality of the manpower was varied, Mussolini called for '8 million bayonets' and many volunteers were ex Great War veterans in their 40's and not at the peak of fitness (suits my impression perfectly).
I guess a Baretta MAB is out of the question, so the Tedeschi MP40 will have to do.
I do have some spare kit if anybody fancies a change?
