Yeah, its metal, and the grips are wood effect plastic. It's a chinese copy of the Tanaka something or other.

Going to fashion a bayonet lug for the front. Shoots 5 BBs at 342 fps consistantly!

10 no. TM 190 round mags for the Thompson.

Cool, may have to look into getting one when I have some more money. Price tag says £99 right? Looks like a bargain. 8)

lol no. 149.99 :( You can swap the parts on it though, can have a choice of parkerised (like mine), and flat black (like the 1 underneath mine) and pimpin' the hood chrome. Stocks are wood effect, black and back pistol grip instead of the full stock. They come with iron sights.... the parkerised 1 is the only 1 with the perforated heat shield on the top.. The Chrome 1 is 8mm

chinese clones of the old marushin mossberg 500 which I used to own, they are much better than the original! the charging slides on the marushin were monkey metal and would break easily, the originals were £200! I chronoed mine once with green gas and only one .43g 8mm = 450fps!
liam got shot above his shooting glasses by one and ended up with a black eye.
airsoft armoury also stock them if anyone's thinking of buying, I recommend these, they are great fun!

A modern copy of the TM-9-1270 concerning the M1903, A1, A3 & A4 rifles.

My Zeiss Super Ikonta 532/16 arrived on thursday, but my internet connection is irratic at best at home...and there was the Operation Pheasant event to deal with.

Well £150 isn't quite as cheap but its still sounds a decent price for it. I may have to add one to my list of RSOV purchases I have planned.

Anyway, first bit of Rusky kit turned up today.
Water bottle, Mosin pouches and some kind of cooking pot that I guess counts as the mess kit. Not sure I'll be using the pot, it was bloody filthy! :?
Also got a DDR greatcoat today, should make a passable Russian officers coat. I don't need to bleach it like I thought I would; its already a nice light grey not the greeny grey I was expecting.

Arrived yesterday, a Sturm repro German watch from http://www.re-enactmentshop.com :

Not sure what type it's supposed to be, can anyone shed any light as to what it's supposed to be a repro of?

I like the aging on the face * wants one *

Very nice Kav, I nearly brought one of those myself a while back. It is actually a scaled-down copy of a Laco Observers watch which were made for Luftwaffe Aircrews in 1941 The originals were a huge 55mm and were designed to go over the sleeve of the thick flying suits. This is a picture of an Original (left) next to a genuine 42mm Laco reproduction which are £329

The "Me109 fighter pilots watch" is not really an accurate description, they would actually have probably been issued a Hanhart Flieger Chrono like this:
A real beauty but they cost £1,600 Although Poljot make a good replica which you can get off ebay for around £235

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Ah, that's very interesting Bosh. I wouldn't ever buy a watch as expensive as those let alone use it for airsoft but they do look nice. I could 'justify' £30-40 (in the way we all convince ourselves a piece of kit is vital to our impression and therefore worth the money!) and I do like the one Kav has. SueSue might be getting an order from me...

Almost like mine

the bad point is it eats batteries, 1 every 6 months, even the top quality silver-oxide ones don't last,

I quite agree, tis a nice bit of kit. I was bidding for one which SueSue had on auction but was outbid by some other muppet ended up paying more than the "Buy it now" price :slap: some people get a bit carried away on ebay.

In the end I just brought a Hanhart style leather strap for the Seiko military crono which I already owned which makes it look quite period

Steve, that link seems to be down :(

The rest of my Rusky kit have turned up, I'm just letting it air a while before i try it on.

M35 shirt + insignia ( not the subdued type i was expecting but very nice, shirt is also very good)
M35 Trousers (woolen ones, not the cotton I expected)
Plash Palatka
Boots (bit worn but should do nicely)
Politka + star
Breadbag
Backpack ( still need to figure out how it works)
Belt ( leather is a bit rough but otherwise ok)
Bayonet holder

I also got the standard Front of Russia randoms. I think maybe he didn't like me rushing him as my stuff was really random & useless; 5 postcards and a squeaky toy in the shape of a small girl....wtf? I didn't even get the obligitory russian cigarettes which I would have quite liked. Still the dog liked the toy and the kit is pretty decent ( no restiching required) so I can't complain.

Ebay acquisition arrived today - WW2-ish (probably much, much later but looks the part) headphones & mike. I'll be working on it over the coming months to turn it into a backpack based PMR radio - can't decide whether to do a British or German one but I'll get it into the scenario for Husky!

Cost: £6.68

PS, if anyone can ID it I'd be interested. Obviously British - has 'Microphone Hand No 7' on the mike and 'Plug 5 point' on the plug. Nothing on the headphone but hey have padded felt earpieces.
