arrived today, a sand DAK capand bevo insigina. A bit pissed off as I on the site it was clearly an olive green cap. I'm sure only the lufty boys and SS wore the sand soloured caps. still might come in handy for something.

More likely mate the ridiculous fad for 'pre aged' repros.

Althought DAK stuff was made in an olive shade a few weeks or months in north africa and washing with salt water made it go sand to white.

My money is on them making it pre bleached as folk want to look like an DAK vet rather than just arrived... god forbid actually wearing or using your kit.

I find pre aged kit ridiculous... it was new in 1944 or whatever, why on earth would it have looked 20 years or more old then!

Too true. Bloody annoying as now I'm going to have to get an olive one. I can't be arsed to send it back.

Visited a fleamarket on the monday, only green thing I found was a FAL cleaning kit (without content), which was all rather disappointing.

Bought a nice 1950s Agfa Box Camera for a few euro, got a free plastic Kodak point&shot, pieceofsh!t from the 1960s with it.

Just so I took something home after the trouble of getting to the fleamarket. At least the Agfa box is passable for WW2 re-enactment.
