This is the book that started me with wargaming back in the 70s. I borrowed it from the local library and promptly forgot it's title... but used the rules in it extensively.
The memories it's bringing back of my early wargaming days are wonderful...

Have you read 'Achtung Schweinhund' the 'memoirs' of a war-gamer? Your little story just reminded me of it, and it's good book.
