After getting an un-expected bonus at work, I have got some new bits n' bobs.

37' pattern webbing brought from a freind for £50 (if your wondering whats in the plastic evidence bag its full of blanco!)

m36 trousers, mp40 pouches, stg44 pouches, jackboots, suspenders.

m36 tunic, m43 splinter cap, m36 feldgrau cap, postwar y straps (hope that these are ok with you guys)

Apologies if I have posted too much!

Usually the liner is about the only thing with a date on it.

They sometimes have a date on the lugs that secure the chinstrap.

One of mine has 1938 stamped on each one.

Does anyone know how to date these helmets? ^^^

Mine is in a pretty rusty state and I cant see any markings?

Most if not all MKII shells should have either a date, makers stamp or both on them.Sometimes not very well stamped or covered in layers of paint but it should be there somewhere :good: :good:

Build me a Zero fighter, and i'll reenact Pearl Harbour with you.

Seriously though, i'd like to eventually look at getting a 'looks-like' japanese Imperial uniform together, but it's waaaay down on the list of priorities at the moment...

Its like 'nam themed games all over again...

Oh, i love 'nam games!

I especially like sneaking around in a pair of black pyjamas and a straw lampshade, lighting up 'Special Forces' with a £40 AK.
