Crackin'!

1915 dated 'Bradbury' British Army barbed wire cutters.
M35 Gymnastiorka, from koliya1985 on ebay.
For anyone who's thinking of getting one:
I bought the medium size shirt, and it fits me fine , I've got a 42 inch chest and I'm 6 ft tall, its certainly not baggy but I think the large would have been too long on the sleeves and overall too baggy, although I'd have liked the overall length to be a bit longer. The material is quite fine and lightweight and overall its well finished. I've no idea how it compares to the original material, but this is certainly less coarse than the m43 breeches I got. The colour looks quite green in the photos on ebay, but in reality its a tan colour, looks about right to me.
Overall I'd say if you are over 6ft tall and if your chest is over 42 get the large size.
It took just over two weeks to arrive which seems about average for the stuff I've bought from Hong Kong.

Thanks for the info! It's neck size that always concerns me though as I have a chunky 17" neck, but otherwise I'm a 42" chest and just under 6ft.

My necks only a 15, my guess is the shirt is a 16 at most.

Thought so... I was looking at getting a large to allow for my neck. lol.

I have the same problem with neck sizes. I usually get things larger and then take in the arm and side seams.

Just got one of these
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GREECE-GREEK-ARMY ... 1c104a11af
Same seller but slightly larger.
Seems not to be serge wool but a more modern suit material (feels like a high artificial thread content as well).
However it fist just right so will do untill I can get something better.

Yeah, I've been looking at them. I thought they might do as a 'denims' look-a-like. I've been buying some DDR Strichtarn bits from him lately!
Are you after cheap Brit style BD? What size(s) are you?

Yes, that item is artificial material or blended with, despite being based on an earlier cut. The material is thin, rather like a primark/george suit. certainly it is a possible summer weight item, but definaley not serge. So the 'Ike Jacket' description is fair.
Ta kindly for the Offer, I seem to be a size 12, 5ft 10 tall, 40 chest, 35/36 waist. I would like to get some BD sorted for sealion in September but it is not great urgancy right now (Have armbands, so can go in civis). I'm not a re-enactor, just an Airsofter/LARPer so post war/none UK patterns are perfectly acceptable and I'm not looking to spend a huge amount. PM me for more.
Currently some "retail therepy" trips planned in the next couple of months (Chatham and Sabre Sales) looking for bargins, as well a Glastonbury festival (yes, that one, a lot of 2nd vintage clothes there, last year I saw more than one store selling 49 pattern BD suits, didn't realise I would need one then
).
