Just ordered a set of USMC fatigues and poncho from the Prop Store. Apparently they were worn by Sgt. Stone in episode 1 of The Pacific.
Oh man, will the spending ever end???

That's 3 of us now with Sgt Stone uniform.....

Time for our own forum sub section? :-)

Ha ha really?

His was the only one that would actually fit me, it seems all the rest of the cast were tiny!!

Classic!

Every store supplies everyone's uniforms from every popular TV show, praying on those who buy them!

Have a look at SOF's stuff, none of the webbing pics matches what the charactors wore in Band of Brothers! Time wasters!

Yup, I got a barrel band for my carbine yesterday as well. As well as a Mic for my WS-18 from McVickers and an antique Thunderer whistle, which makes my ears hurt when even my 4 year old son Brendan blows it!

Today I got an M1 carbine carry case and OD3 sling.

Splinter helmet cover, Splinter Smock and a German Demo bag, all through the post today.

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

1950s Soviet naval cap- same as wwII pattern. A touch small and missing the star but still a bargain.

You mean: привет моряк! :giggle:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

No, because a marine isn't a sailor. :raspberry:

You've seen the size of my belly so you can imagine how big it is. :slap:

From my local Army surplus (which usually doesn't sell odds 'n' ends such as these, normally only large lots of unissued or good condition items):

British 1940s dated wool shirt, with correct "trouser fly" bottom half (unlike my 1951 straight fronted wool shirt), colour slightly faded and a small rip/hole has been sewn up £1.50
A pair of very worn, but still usable original British non-elastic braces £1.00
An unissued STEN sling £2.00

Generic Litzen and a pair of Sturmpioniere Unteroffizier shoulderboards (with subdued Tresse), from RAU.
