8) Is it good?

Loads of excellent photo's - unfortunately they can't be recreated at a CiA event - Pontoon bridge building is a little out of our league

Oh, I don't know..... maybe a little SturmBrücke

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

I'm totally replacing the upper with a machined out display receiver, so the parts wont slide together in the same way  .

Probably a small rail-and-groove arrangement (10mm or so) at the front as it does already, and a bolt up through the lower and into the upper at the rear, probably using the stock's mounting plate for strength.

It really depends on how small the lipo is.

I'll be updating my Thompson thread soon. Part of that will include a battery plan more cunning than a fox with 2 tails.
What machinery do you have access to?

A plash. Modern (well, 1985), but aren't they all.

Spent the afternoon reinforcing the toggles with extra thread.

Cheers

I have had mine running with blowback for quite some time now, but it hasnt always been easy!

I have tested many materials to connect the bolt and the "coat hanger"

Ribbon lasted 3k Rounds then snapped
Internal Core of Para Cord lasted around 6k Rounds and snapped
Some gold (filiment?) wire interwoven like 5 bands wrapping round, lasted 40k Rounds (12-16 months!) then snapped.

Next on my list is some heavy duty fishing line.

Also i would highly recomend locktighting the screw which holds the bolt on. I have already lost one! But doing so it makes it a tight fit to the thompson so silicone spray is good!

M1 Garand Wood Kit WW2 Dated all matching parts to my knowledge.

have used locktight on the bolt :good:

Im using 80lb shock leader fishing line on the blow back mod at the moment, seems to do the trick so far, havent really used the thompson that much since I modded it, maybe had around 3000 rnds through it so far :good:

1928 stock arrived and it is gorgeous. Still covered in storage wax (anyone know a good method of removing it?) and all the metal work is pristine.

The conversion looks to be a simple one, remove part of the lower receiver and install a mounting plate for the stock. Rewire the gun to hold a lipo battery in the cavity behind the gearbox and bobs your uncle.

hello

why do not you remove the interior wood?

Because i'd like to keep the detatchable nature of the stock and not hack it about too much. I will do as a last resort but for now i'm working on the lipo inside the receiver theory.

My CAW M1928 kit finally arrived today, after taking 24 hours to reach this country from Hong Kong and then, 7 days in the hands of royal fail before I got it. Wankers.

No, the receiver and barrel. The wood kit is totally overpriced (although the receiver isn't exactly a bargain!).
