A pair of grey thinsulate gloves, and now I've cut the labels off and stripped out the lining they look very like WW2 Germans ones.

Some borrowed bits of SS gear plus some purchased collar tabs, shoulder boards etc for The Drop. Spent a pleasant couple of hours re-badging and trying bits of uniform on.

Cheers
Martin

18 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Beauceron cross called Boris. Weighing in at about 44 Kilo.

Excellent guard dog - would look good with his own Feldgendarmerie Ringkragen

Forester have you room for him in the back of your Kübel?-- attachment is not available --

They are lovely for the price but if you want yours to last longer hold down the mag release when inserting a magazine as the catch wears down very very quickly :good:

If anyone else is thinking of doing what I have also recently done, and upgrading their kit from a grandad shirt (mine's lasted 5 years so far and still going strong) to a re-enactor quality item - then I'd sujest paying the extra tenner and getting a Pegasus Militaria one, rather than a SoF one. I honestly can't recommend the Pegasus one highly enough. First off, it's real wool and a far closer colour match to originals; looks so genuine (fooled a couple of people so far who thought it was an original!) and it's so warm and comfy once it's been worn a bit (or slept in, in full BD, as I've done a few times at events period-style).

once it's been worn a bit

I've got an original WW2 one which is also very comfy as it has had 70 years of wearing in! I can't get the top collar button done up around my fat neck though.

Latest toys, a set of GD insignia. (Thank you rammix). Looking forward to spending a couple of hours at the weekend stripping the SS stuff of my spare jacket and putting the GD stuff on. I also seem to have lost some more hobnails at 'The Drop' , so some hammering will be in order.

Cheers
Martin

One of these:

I'll see how it compares with the more traditional type (of which I have just bought 4 more)!
