Stoneleigh today for me too :
-- attachment is not available --
Bought them on the off chance they were French, (but the French ones seem to have 2 rows of hooks) thought they might be US but US leather cavalry leggings have straps not laces, so I have no idea.

Suggestions welcome.

Edit - Maybe they are just civilian gamekeeper wear? There is no printing inside.

Hi Fellows!

Last week I received from IMA-USA a British Para helmet MKII and Sten Mags bandolier!

The two front bolts are very close!

What is the correct measure between bolts?

What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Luis

Oh dear! That's terrible.
Send it back for a refund, it is not a replica of the Ww2 British Para helmet.
Liner is wrong, straps are wrong, fittings are wrong, shell is wrong, it's wrong.

Yes the IMA Para helmets are pretty drastic. I don't know if sending it back is going to be a viable option for him as he's in Argentina. If not, I'd definitely recommend a new liner and chinstrap.

Thanks fellows!
I think so too, has been a bad buy!!
It is not easy to make a return due to shipping costs ...
I try to improve everything bad that has, then getting a net
If can say the distance between the front bolts, I will be very grateful!
Regards
Luis

I found it during one of my trawls through Allegro.

it is, surprise, a fiberglass reproduction (as I don;t have 500 squids kicking around).

Looks good though, from the picture fibreglass would not have been the first thing which flicked into my mind. Nice and light to boot.

From the Derby Cattlemarket Carboot today:

A bullet casting block, very vintage looking, can cast 12 bullets per go. It's looks to be for a .380 pistol round, as the neck of the casting holes reads 0.385 on a micrometer, and the cast rounds are smooth bodied with no grooved waist. Stamped into it is "15 Grains" which seems a bit small, surely this should mean 150 grains? Also, nicely stamped is "Made In England". It's held together by two nicely ornate knurled thumb screws. The bloke who was selling it said it was an old earth wiring connector block! I got it for 50p... :happyclap: :happydance:

A very nice Luftwaffe greatcoat. Ordered on Monday afternoon, arrived Thursday morning, all the way from Malta. www.luftwaffesupplies.com - highly recommended for LW and FJ kit. :good:

I do like the LW tropical uniform, probably form my fun memories of painting up some Italian theater FJ. Whateve4r the reason, they do like nice all faded and dusty.

fliegerbluse arrived today, really nice quality, a little snug on me as their sizes only go to 44 chest and I'm nearer 46 but if I move the buttons over a little it should be fine.now i just need the yellow collar tab's and gulls.
