A trip to battlesbridge antiques has resulted in me finally finding an original fs cap that is in my size (7 3/4"). It's in mint unissued condition as well. :)

It's only taken me 5 years to find one!

A CheekyChappie custom half face mask, lovely job, he's even matched my flesh tone. I have tried jogging around in it and no fogging so far.

Spot the difference!

Perhaps it makes my jawline a bit more manly....

Nice, is that one of Warrens new No. 4s?

I am now the proud owner of hosetops and KD shirt & shorts, too late for Crete of course, but one step behind is me all over :)

Cheers

I don't have a chrono. It's supposed to be around 400fps. It punched through the cardboard packaging it came in.

You'll want to drop that down for Chambois.

Yes... but he still needs to reduce it, if it's actually going to be more than a long range pointless waste of time. (IMHO)

I won't manage to get it down before Chambois - I won't have the spring and, I won't manage to get the chrono (money is tight). I will have to stay back and snipe or get stuck in with the bayonet :)

I really would recommend trying. 400fps is neither here nor there. It's too much for close work, which is what will be needed in amongst the buildings, and too little for distance work, which is what is needed in the open areas around them.

It's a VSR internally, isn't it. I have some springs I can bring and a chrono. Though my weak springs may now all be used... hmmm.... Anyway if you arrive early enough it's easy enough to change a spring in a VSR! (assuming the cylinder head comes off that is)

Springs themselves are quite inexpensive really. You'll want an M100 or M110 Laylax PSS10 spring or similar.

I'd hate for you to have a nice gun like that and not be able to use it to it's best effect in game.

Gladly. I'd much rather watch someone do it first time than experiment myself. If you can show me how to change the spring that will be ideal. I even ordered the gun with weak spring as an additional part but somehow it didn't make it into the box :) Will do some head scratching after the pay day.

Aha, if the weak spring didn't arrive then pester warren for it! It not being in the box is not on at all!

BTW, remind me nearer the time to pack my springs and tools!

The website says the options are 350 or 400, 'specify when ordering'.

My SLR did 420 when I got it, neither fish nor fowl although it was OK with .25s for longer range plinking. It works much better at 350 :)

Cheers
