I'm actually surprised you don't have one yet, Pete. On the list, is it? :wink:

I've got one of the non-blowback M1's and a M2 so the only additional one I could do with is a M1A1 folding stock version, so watch this space :wink: :lol:

I bloody knew it! I'm in the market for an M1A1 stock, too. 8)

"Songs for Servicemen"
By the National Council YMCA of India, Burma and Ceylon.
a 1943 reprint of a 1941 book.

contains such wonders as:

All the nice girls love a sailor,
All the nice girls love a tar;
For there's something about a sailor,
Well, you know what sailors are!
Bright and breezy, free and easy,
He's the ladies' pride and joy;
Falls in love with Kate and Jane,
Then he's off to sea again,
Ship ahoy! Ship ahoy!

and some more annas... C19th this time.

Theyre not bad once you remove the padding.

Also from what i can remember is that the D rings at the back also had a square loop as well??-If so just put a hacksaw to that.
If you intend on wearing an A Frame or some sort of backpack then the d rings are in a slightly lower(or was that higher?)position than originals.

I picked up my Bell Tent today! :)

Its big enough that I could feasibly sleep with my feet at the pole and my head at the edge. :)

Leitz Wetzlar "NOOKY" close-up attachement (don't laugh you perverts)
It was introduced in 1935

combined with a 50mm Elmar I can do some close-up photography (from 1m to 44cm and it has automatic parallax correction)

.......I did it all for the NOOKY!

Santa brought me my repro Sam Browne Belt, a M1907 Rifle Sling, a French design US Collar Wing insignia and a Leitz "APDOO" self-timer for my Leica.

Not a bad haul,

must've been good this year

This Christmas has certainly been a violent one for me in terms of gifts recieved. Sadly much of the stuff was related to modern/molle warfare and there's no real need to mention them. I did get a book on 20th century small arms which has brief descriptions of most of the main weapons produced in the mentioned century. Its not half given me ideas for future airsoft projects :D I never realised Roll's Royce produced a Machine gun, so I guess the book has been slightly educational!

I was going to ask if she'd tried riding it but it sounds so wrong to question a lady of such distinction :lol:
