The only thing I would question is the colour of the box? Were they not usually brown?
I hope they taste better than the originals were reputed to?

Pocher: Yea I know the boxes are a different colour although iv seen loads of variants of colours, but I'm still trying to find a decent supply of the correct thickness and colour at a decent price, and yea I hope it does, it's just pure milk chocolate ;)

Gunman: cheers mate, first attempt and all that, hopefully they will get better with practice!

Cheers guys

Well here are Colonel Logan's (the man who asked Hershey to make them) requirements for the Bar:

1. Weigh 4 ounces (112 g)
2. Be high in food energy value
3. Be able to withstand high temperatures
and finally...
4. Taste "a little better than a boiled potato" :giggle:

Have fun! Oh and excellent work by the way. :good:

Having tasted Hershey's non-ration chocolate, and dread to think what the military ration version would have tasted like - I'd take the boiled potato anyday!

Having tasted Hershey's non-ration chocolate

Brown muck with grit added? I find it way over sweet and with a strange powdery/gritty texture.
Horrid stuff. Even girls I know won't eat it.
