Hello, i am quite a young person as well as an airsofter, and modern AEGs dont excite me anymore. I am quite keen on world war 2 and would like to look into buying an AEG. Uniform is no problem for me as i am on a personal basis with some suppliers.

However, there is one problem, i do not want to buy a Thompson. I cannot explain why lol

Please give me some advise, also i am still in 'teens so my budget is not limited, but not massive.

Welcome to the forum Joshy from a fellow young person!

Are you thinking German, Brit or US? Brit? Take a look at the sales section - Sten is up for sale!

I'll let Oldsweat (the owner) fill you in but the mag is fixed and acts as a bb resevoir - you refill through the ejection port. The gun is made by Warren from Shoot 'n Scoot (who has a section under 'Retailers' at the bottom of this forum.

BTW - just a few places for Brits left on the upcoming Arhnem game!

If i were you I would buy an MP40, Nice and cheep if you are on a budget, and if you dont take to ww2 airsofting you havnt spent lots of money on a specific period gun.

The Sten is a lovely gun , and one of only a few custom ones made . sadly mine is sold now , but Warren ta Shoot and Scoot will gladly make you one . They are not cheap however , and you could get four MP40s for the price of a Sten !

Clint eastwood dual used mp40s in where eagles dare (my fave ever film)

but he had one on a sling and the other in a hand, even shooting blanks they were all over the place,

plus the AGM mp 40 is mostly metal (cheap metal) but it weighs a fair bit (but nowhere near the real steel) dual use would be possible in a room, but useless at any range over 20m.

What sort of AEG do you have that isn't useless at over 20m?
