Hi Everyone! I made the suggestion of an Airsoft event centring around Actions in the Falaise Gap. If you want to read my original scenario then have a look on the new scenario thread, page 8 or 9. Anyway, down to business. Does anyone know of an Airsofting site which they think would be suitable AND reasonably central so that everyones not travelling to the edge of nowhere.

My Girlfriend suggested the local golf course, its got bunkers and everything. But she thinks we might have to stay to the paths! And shes deadly serious.

First off have a look at the Airsoft Map to find sites . I'dsuggest sticking with proper sites as they will have the requisite insurance

No probably a bit of open terrain with woody areas and hopefully a couple of buildings of some sort. Some good defendable positions because, if the game goes in the correct direction then the U.S and Brit recon forces SHOULD be defending in the morning then holding their positions in the afternoon. What dya think?

Oh and the scenario would probably be hypothetical, allied recon units tasked with meeting up getting stuck with the Germans heading right for them?

Ah and as for German armour, fresh out I'm afraid but the allies can summon a mighty Tetrach tank to pummel you Kraut buggers haha

Whats the difference between defendcing and holding your positions?

As it is its a static game for the allies all day.

Its always a good idea to give both sides more thna one thing to do so things dont bog down.

If you recall at arnhem their was the bridge as the main objective but their were also 'sub plots' like the stolen gold and painitngs, capturing the german officer and an 'allied evacuation' that you never got to see as the germans were drubbed so badly.

Ok I put that badly, I meant, Allies retreating then holding. And I'm sure at Arnhem, that the sub plots were ironed out once the rest of the event was organised? Anyway at the moment I'd like suggestions as to an AIRSOFT site not negative feedback on my initial idea. "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem." haha

Mate, if you don't think of and discuss any possible problems beforehand, the first you know about them is when everything goes FUBAR on the day...

*Any* feedback is positive feedback at this point.

i knew an officer once, who ignored a poo poo, it turned out that the chap who poo pooed him had poo pooed a lot of other officers too
. in the end the whole regiment had to be disbanded, morale was completly destroyed, by poo poo!

The sub plots were pretty much intrinsic from day one chap.

I've written out a basic idea of how I think the day should go. I don't know whether I've included enough so if you want a copy of the word document to peruse, just pm me your email address.
Email SWAT Airsoft over the weekend but they haven't got back to me yet! Has anyone been to the sight? Or know what the terrain's like there?
