Hey guys a few of us were talking last week about maybe running a pacific theatre game next year.

I know a few guys have uk jungle green and webby has some USMC kit.

BUT.. given a year to get kit together and scheduling this game for august or September 2009 who would be up for playing a burma or iwo jima type game?

Jungle kit is ridiculously cheap at the mo and you can even get imperial jap army kit.

The only thing which would hold me back at the mo would be trying to find folk to play japs but i reckon wiht a good 'counts as' uniform guide we could do this.

Soooo if an unnamed group of organising airsoft types did a jungle game for next year would you be in.

Be looking at a small scale 15 places a side game, site to be decided but somewhere very densely vegetated!

Express an interest here!

Well it goes without saying... I'm interested!

I reckon cheapo Jap impression should be easy to do... all we really need is for people to do it!

Also for those with Brit impressions already all is needed is Jungle Greens, £50 from Sanjay... For headgear a cap comforter, tommy helmet or slouch hat.

Weapons... for brits, Tommy's stens, enfields (No4s are fine type if we go for late '44), bren and of course look-a-likes

For japs, well anything goes I reckon...

If Jap kit was cheap, I'd be up for it. However, I haven't a clue what they wore. Also, a weapons guide would be useful. What would "count as" what?

You'd need somewhere humid too.... we could always hire out the Eden Project!

Awesome ideally i was thinking we could do a fictional USMC rescue of beleaugred UK unit.

So you'd have on one side

USMC
Jungle brits

and for those wihtout kit communist anti jap guerillas in vc style black pyjamas

Against the Imperial Japanese Army

Its getting those 15 japs now.. we nee d some short, dark haoired chaps.. Locutos.. where are you?

It would be lots of fun to do this, if only to repeatedly shout "Banzai!!" at every opportunity!

Sounds like a cracking idea mate! Could possible muster up 20 Japs if you wanted to run it a crew based game and have 30odd allies! I'll will be investing in jap gear at the end of this year! Any good to you?

I'd be interested in a pacific game at some point in the future. I wouldn't mind playing either Japanese or Chindit.

Well, looking at that picture of the Japanese marine, you could definitely get away with:

(a) Jackboots and
(b) A Bren!
