A couple from this weekend -

First outing for the G43, still a bit of work to be done but getting good range and accuracy at the moment. Still got the scope mount to fit and the reciever needs a little adjustment to sit lower and not interfere with the selector. Still it works and goes well with my late war Fallschrimjager kit. No idea why my helmet was sitting so far back through!

Feels a bit wrong to interrupt a moment of mourning here, but since I think I whine too much most of the time I thought I might do something completely different for once. One day, I'll get a decent background(its a garagedoor...)and then I intend to do a whole series with everything I own.
Anyways, two DAK outfits, never worn in the field so noone else has ever seen me in this before. Probably not going to with winter at the door either.

After about 3 years of off-and-on collecting (with some pretty big halts in between) I finally assembled everything AND made it to a game AND had a friend take some photos. Sorry for the blurred face!

This is a generic "Iwo Jima" USMC kit that could also apply to Okinawa. I have to say I really like wearing the leggings under the trouser legs. I'm ashamed to say I had to break down and have the repro P41 utility trousers altered by a tailor for a sharper appearance...

Minus the M41 field jacket:

Kit list:

CYMA M1A1 Thompson with 20rd-style magazine
KWA M1911A1

Clothing:
- WWII Impressions P41 utilities
- ATF M41 field jacket
- ATF USMC t-shirt (green)
- WWII Impressions N-1 field shoes (USMC boondockers) - fantastic!
- ATF USMC leggings
- Post-war M1 helmet shell with some type of wartime liner refurbished with ATF helmet kit and ATF camouflage cover
- Original Hamilton "ORD DEPT" mechanical watch with OD Goss-brand watchstrap (sadly the radium luminescence has long since decayed...)

Webbing:
- Original M1936 pistol belt (US-marked)
- Original M1941 USMC pack suspenders (first pattern with flat buckles)
- Original M1910 canteens in ATF reproduction first-pattern USMC canteen covers (artificially aged over the last few years while bouncing around in a truck toolbox...)
- Original M2 jungle first aid kit
- 2x original M1942 first aid kit pouches with original Carlisle bandage tins
- Original M1916 Boyt .45 holster (for KWA M1911A1)
- Original M1910 .45 ammo pouch (marked P.B. & Co. 1917)
- Original USN Mk.2 dive knife (Camillus)

Still a work in progress: tropical Heer tunic as worn by the 1st Cossack Division in Croatia, 1943-45. Managed to get the boards done last night, using unpiped pre-war pointed boards from hiki + added red piping.

Do you have a horse and a LARP-safe sabre?

Horse is also a WIP, the shashqa is a battery-ready replica. Don't have pics of those right now, sorry.

Thinking of mounting a carousel fibre-glass horse on a Segway for airsoft use though... :ghey:

Attended a open field day this weekend and decided to use my Springfield and my USMC kit to go with it. Wet, chilly and muddy as hell but felt good none the less!

Great looking pics! I can imagine that the Pacific kit is a bit chilly!
