Not a chance  just got to dig out my dremel and I'll be fitting the workings from a 8mm carbine into it 8)

Oh and I've just realised it's not everything I'd forgotten about my british pup tent  and obviously the picture was taken before my BAR arrived :D

@Devonshire Trooper Yup you're right there's a Piat lurking in there, doesn't fire anything at the moment but I'm planning to correct that

Nope close but no tomato its a heer dienstkittel, for well alsorts of duties, but it will when I embroider it later, have a signals (radio operators) patch on it. I've done a mock up and think I can improve to make a reasonable (4ft rule) hand stitched insignia.

Been to work *yawns* came home and started on some armbands,

So thats them out of the way  can save doing the RP ones for after belters, much sewing of these at the weekend oh and startching them (must not forget that, must not forget that

Anyone done anything interesting this week? take it not as theres no posts on this thread

Edited cos I have no life and finished one  not 100% but I need better acetate for the stencil rather than the makeshift made of butter stuff I used to improve on it but not bad to say I did it in an hour, and its startched so I don't need to remember to do that now

This evening, I sewed a black piece of cloth on my commando beret, repaired a tear on my grenade bag, and sewed my Obergefreiter stripes and EM's eagle back on my tunic. Also sewed on my s/board buttons - the only way I could remove the officer's s/boards was to cut them off!

Last night I cleaned all the rust and most of the muck off the deac bren I'm baby sitting with .303 oil as explained on the tin. I looks much nicer now! I also oiled the workings and that all works better as well. :)

I also cleaned up my tommy gun as well as some rust was showing. :)

Today I... re-watched 'The Longest Day'. Marvelled at the spectacular beach strafing, Omaha beach breakout and of course the stunning tracking shot of the assault on Ouistreham. And was stunned by some of the most appalling acting ever!
Brilliant film though!
