Found this page, and thought I'd share it. http://www.cyber-heritage.co.uk/cutaway/
I love those illustrations!

EDIT: The pictures are all in 'links' slightly down the page, not just the three thumb-nails at the top of the page.

Yep some nice stuff on there.

So this vickers you are making is it an airsoft?
Show us some pictures in the guns section of the forum maybe.

Yup, certainly is! I shall get pictures up as soon as I can. It's a shame as it's fine to use a de-ac across the pond, but hopefully this'll be the first ever realistic* airsoft Mk1 Vickers in the UK. It's going to be a smooth jack version with Mk2 muzzle. Just like this real-steel one:

Hoping to get it finished soon, am currently working on the ammo feed. But I don't think you guys will let me take it into the bunker for Projekt Wotan (will you *plead*)!

*Not just an M249 with a carboard art tube stuck on the outside

Yeah, have seen it already and you've done a fantastic job. What's the base gun/gearbox? Is it all metal or some plastic content for the body?

Sorry lads you are not the first. I have a film prop, all steel and brass, that I'm turning airsoft. First rounds went down the range the other day.
