Was great to meet up with some more Germans today at Ground Zero - obviously, we looked the best of the bunch! Excuse quality of photos...

Can you see us in the distance?!

This one was taken from a moving half-track...

We were merely relishing the thought of final victory!

Luckily for the sake of your quip Glider most people members of this forum are old enough to remember who Roy Castle was!

I think this shot was staged at an airsoft event. They remembered to remove the safety glasses for the photo but forgot the gum shield.

I believe that is from Stalingrad - at least the picture title suggests that.

His grenade throw would have been all for nothing unless Norris McWerter was there to verify it!

ive seen it qouted in two books as stalingrad 42

one book said it was a well know "posed" propaganda shot

hello there, i do hope you dont mind me chucking a few piccies up in this thread, seemed the best place for it, as the name suggests iam evilmike from ascuk etc and ive been into ww2 history and militaria and like many others out there blame the agm mp40 for the spiral into ww2 kit :)

been gathering bits and pieces over the last month and skirmished it at spectre on sat for a private game, heres a few 'posed' pics, i cant take the credit for playing around with them as they were taken by a friend.

most fun indeed, played at gz a few times although its a long drive down from Cardiff but will have to join you chaps at somepoint to show the tommies how its done :P

ive gone for the oak leaf smock, black ss panzer uniform, ek2 ribon, Panzer Assualt Badge, collar tabs, sleeve egale and cuff title, mp40 mag pouches on usual style belt with ss buckle, the visor cap and m35 helmet for ones head and my leather jacket which all good metallers should have anyway and a nsdap party armband and of course the old jack boots.

iam sure its not 100% historically accurate but it looked the part :)

mike

All good Mike, altough we tend to steer clear from party armbands at events as the last thing we want at a big game is peopel thinking theres something political going on.

To my knowledge the classic red armband wasnt really worn by combat troops, more your 'political' ss units and on parades.

I'm no expert though.

To be honest that was my thoughts as well... I didn't want to say anything immediately, but since I'm not alone I thought I may as well.

I'd probably politely ask you to remove it at one of our events!

Otherwise... a great impression and its good to have you on board!
