OK Monte La Difensa not yet done but I cant help starting to think about kit and weapons for Luga Line. As the ammo limit is low my K98 is screaming out to be used, but also considering an MG. Game rules state that MG's must be operated as a 2 man team so I thought if anyone fancied it I could have the best of both worlds and share the MG with someone giving me time on the K98 as well.

Anyone fancy buddying up as part of an MG team?

Had the same thoughts, not sure what Bigkie had in mind whether we are going to split down into two rifle sections with a support weapon for each? Can`t bring the K98 need to do some fiddling with it and repair the damage where it got the FJ Cannister lid slammed on it

hi Tim
i'd be interested ,maybe if there was three of us in rotation it would be good(nobody get's knackered).i'm probably going to use my mp40 as I've not used it at a game all year.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Glad your discussing this boys. Now booking is complete we are going to stick some private sections up so guys can confirm roles and groups to go into so give us a day or so to get it sorted and you will all be added to the relavnet section. :good:

Ok guys had a rethink on this, I've decided Assault Pioneer with a K98 is the way to go for this one. I'm so sad in fact that one day after coming back from Monte La Difensa Im so up for another game that I have already started preparing for this one. so far:

Planned kit laid out on bed in spare room (still need the back pack).

Pioneer pouches converted so I can fit 2 VSR mags in the ammo pouches on the side of each bag.

M36 completly deblinged even tresse gone (I think Martin always looks fantastic in his kit and I've noticed the plain look really adds to the look).

Shoulder boards blacked up.

Pouches filled with grenades, smokes, charges, detonator, various tools and wire cutters.

I really need to get a life :slap:

Don't worry, I've done exactly the same thing, all my Russian kit is now packed and sorted :) I find a game often gives you a bit of a burst of energy.

I just need to convert my G43 back into its SVT-40 mode. A job for next weekend.

Cheers
Martin

Hi all, thought I'd throw my hat in the ring here. I've a heavily modified skirmishable Shoei MG42 which I'm going to bring along although I wasn't intending to skirmish it this time out as I'm intending to use my SRC MP40/Luger combo. Also have a Yugo MG42 Lafette tripod with carrying straps. The 42 has a RS feed tray, tight bore barrel and is fed from a modified drum mag. I've just rebuilt the mag following a feed failure and all seems to be working ok now.

Sorry but no sidearms unless you're using a support weapon or sniper rifle please.

Yeah! But there are still some teething troubles. I may need a much bigger amplifier. I need to test it outdoors to decide what the next step is.

The gun itself is very loud and because it has a different mechanical sound from that of the MG42 sound track the total combined sound isn't very pleasing.

In addition there is also the balancing act between power output and weight. Thus the "Three man crew" comment earlier.

Looking forward to seeing you there Tim, You'll have to have a go with it. :good:

Hi chaps,

I'll be bringing my MP40 (after I've tried the temporary cable tie repair to stop it falling into 2 pieces) and my sten as a back up.
