We want to keep things informal and relaxed, in order to give people a chance to get to know each other and to have the oppurtunity to play about with their kit, so nothing will be particularly arduous. Anyone who has been to previous days knows that we like to build up in "layers", so that it has a cumulative effect, bought together in mini exercises that give you a chance to put into practice what you have learned. We will not be doing any drill or marching! The subjects that we aim to cover are...
Weapon setup (not taught, your chance to play about with sights, bb weights, hop settings and a rare chance to chrono).
Hide/shelter construction. (using poncho/tarp method, as well as building an improvised group shelter from available materials).
Movement/concealment. (Patrolling, observation, personal camouflage).
Jungle lane. (Individually and in pairs).
RV's and laying up. (Selecting, occupying, defending).
Very basic map reading (bearings, pacing).
Dead letter drops/caches. (Finding and correct use).
Preparedness/personal admin.
Ambush/breaking contact. (Anti ambush and setting up deliberate and snap ambushes).
Evening fieldcraft/movement exercise (against a "live" enemy).
Early morning fieldcraft exercise. (Advance to contact, recce, plan forming and assault).
All of this will have a relevance to airsoft and particularly to the events that CiA are planning for 2013 and will prove very useful for any other events too. Also, if there is anything that you guys would like to be covered, just ask and we'll try to accomodate it. You can use whatever WW2 kit and weapon you like and, I'll post up a few suggestions for some kit you may find handy to bring in addition.

Having taken some flak over "real tactics dont' work in airsoft!", I feel that I must point out that the schedule has been done with WW2 airsoft in mind and, anyone who has been to any of my organised training days over the last 10 years will point out to you that they are painstakingly planned to be informative, relevant and most of all, fun! I've got a lot of experience in running these days, derived from 12 years of real military service and, over 20 years of messing around with airsoft of all kinds too.
We are not covering any section level stuff, it concentrates purely on individual skills which are appropriate for any event. I hope that people can throw aside any preconceptions and give it a go.

Itinerary is confirmed. None of the buildings really support house clearing, so we'll save that for another day. However, we will expand on the jungle lane and do two sessions, one run as solo particiapants and, one where you will work in pairs. Also, all movement between "stands" will be done by patrolling, just to practice movement, formations and hand signals.
The early morning exercise will be an advance to contact, enabling you to put into practice what you have learned, to enable you to find, recce and assault an enemy force.
This is an absolutely awesome site and, as well as hopefully learning something new, you will have the rare pleasure of being on ground that no WW2 airsofter has ever used before.
