The main Objective is to clear the road to Caen, taking strong points all the way. When a CP it captured the column of Allied Vehicals can be brought up to it and then push on to the next CP. There will be three artillery positions that need to be captured and held before endex Sunday. The will also be loads of other objectives too! Until Ive been to the site I can't write any more than that;)

hmmm, sounds like a plan (looks around checking for allied spies) and were could a jeri procure these said boom sticks?

although what i was thinking of doing was painting myself black with a few white stripes and lying in the middle of the road, so when the allied convoy advances past me i can attack from the rear! that or if things go bad i can resort to stealing burgers from macdonalds or something...

anyway, moving on!

I'll be there for sure Josh as US Airborne. Cheers. :good:

US Airborne at Hill 112?! Oh the horror, the ignominy! I'll have to go for counselling after an upset like that!

Here's yours truly looking oh so "stunning" at Bovington back in June as 4th Battalion, The Wiltshire Regiment, 43rd Wessex Division.

The 4th Battalion was part of the 129th Infantry Brigade alongside the 5th Wilts who used a blue square of similar dimensions to the brandywine one of the 4th. The 4th Bn, Somerset Light Infantry was other battalion in the 129th.

The other two infantry brigades of the 43rd Wessex were:

130th Infantry Brigade (The 7th Bn Hampshire Regt, the 4th Bn Dorset Regt and 5th Bn Dorset Regt)

214th Infantry Brigade (The 7th Bn Somerset LI, the 1st Bn Worcestershire Regt and the 5th Bn Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry)

Nice Picy Tarnish, lol we had 47 Comando kicking down doors at Carentan :good: These games arn't historic, we just use the history for a back story and senario.

Saying that we have realy good numbers for the 101st at Carentan and would be fantastic to field a sizable force of Brits for the Caen battles.

Cheers Josh,

Aye it is true the balancing act when one is a re-enactor and an airsofter is a fine one indeed, the historical pedantry has to be put to one side! I've also been a member of the Screaming Eagles Living History Group since 2002 so I'm guilty of fuelling the the numbers of 101st out there too. :)

I wouldn't mind making it along to the Caen game given the subject matter but I'm getting married the following month so it may be best to check with my "leisure time controller" first in case there's stuff I'm oblivious to that needs to be done! God forbid I upset her that close to the day!

PS I have played at Gunman once before a few years back with Jamie & Jon Chan Pensley and the rest of the ESU boys, was a bloody hot August day at Tuddenham as I recall and I had one standard mag with my then new TM M14 that I just had to use! Boy did I get good with a speed loader during that day.

lol, I thought I recognized that mug. Congrats on the wedding mate and there are plenty of games we're running throughout this year. I think Jon is trying to get down to Ops in Feb.

Well, ive just done the site survey and what a site!! it has 3 hills, one perfect for 112 and 100s of acres of woods around it.
Excellent safe zone and ill make sure we have facilities too.

Not under 16s sadly. We have CRB registration at our regular GUNMAN sites, but for Filmsim events we only allow 16 - 17 yrs if they come with a mate or family member (of similar or older age) and stick with them all weekend. The laws are there to protect but do suck! especialy when it stops kids from joining in! You can always come to all the Operation weekends at tuddenham though?

sorry bud
