Me, generic heer summer kit, or grossdeutschland if I unroll the sleaves and change the shoulder tabs, I found that to make it more combat worn, less uniform rolling up the sleaves and unbuttoning the top of the tunic looks quite good and works with the summer theme.

I'm happy to keep with an Heer impression, the Major Konig impression will satisfy my Jager needs so I'm happy to keep my regular greys as infantry

Uniform coming together nicely, so I now feel able to put my name forward. I decided to avoid extra expense by starting with the reversible winter parka instead of a M36/M40 uniform jacket and all the badges. I am now feeling very smug about that decision what with todays weather.
If anybody knows where to find an old pair of British army high leg combat boots let me know, I can't find them anywhere. Otherwise uniform good to go. Just need a gun now...

Best place for BCH boots is ebay. If you can't find any cheap, I got some from http://www.cadetdirect.co.uk - grade 1 condition.

i have a mp40 for sale in the sales section if interested.

I'm having a boots crisis. My jackboots are from a soviet supplier on ebay and are just too damm big. I'm sitting here with sore heels from wearing them yesterday an they have to go. What do you guys recommend? Low boots are £75 which is a bit expensive at the moment, Epic do jackboots for £50, waiting for size and stock availability, or do I just cut down an old pair of German para boots from the eighties and wear gaiters?
Edit, had contact with Julian from Epic and he's going to Germany in May to get the next ones so I'm happy to wait for the right size.

you'll feel smug unitl the weather is over 2 degrees..then it's unplayble in. There are quite a few games coming up where feldgraus will be a neccesity ...keep saving .

I am having a mooch at the very expensive Tanaka k98 in case anyone is selling.

Is there any issue in having the mountain one as opposed to the full length ( ), which is preffered?

Pity we can't just all use the c98 rifle as they are dirt cheap but they're wrong

I'd say if you have the choice then go for the full length Kar98K (a full length short carbine??? ) over the G33/40 as it will fit the look better & were far more common. K98's also tend to be easier to find and odly can becheaper too. Nobody will have a problem if you get the G33/40 though, at least I hope not because thats what I have.
By the way whats the C98?

I have actually seen a picture of what looks like a regular Infanterie man with a G33/40 - I'll see if I can find it this evening.

I'm sure you're right (I'd still like to see the pic though). Its perfectly plausable that a few landsers got hold of one. Its just a little less generic infantry if you use a rarer weapon.
