If you are going to stand guard duty, you might want to find a pair of grey woollen gloves, keep the pinkies warm. There are [expensive] repro but plain grey 'comforts' from home style will do you fine.

I'm particularly pleased with the K98 that is no longer bright yellow, the boots that have been through the Kermit school of leather curing, and also the pot - which I've rough textured, painted and "distressed" all by meself 
The pouches also need a bit of boot black or something as the white stitching is too box-fresh for my taste. For belt order I'm thinking: bayonet, gas mask tin, breadbag, water bottle and Kochgeschirr (maybe)? Definitely a pair of grey wool gloves too.

original ones yes, but i do believe you can get repro bayonets for £35 ?

Very nice. That is exactly the German kit I want to get when I get around to getting one.
