Hey guys,

No doubt you have seen the post on the Non CiA game due to be held in February next year in West Sussex.

It would be great if we could get some, if not all the Kampfgruppe members down to that game.

Just a thought :D

Hang on! (x) of you, (y) of me, dont mind playing Airsoft, I make that Pimms O’clock

I could well be up for it. Depends on a couple of things, firstly, whether I'm at work or not (which has put the damper on several games for me) and, secondly how it is organised and run. I noticed that the in the pocket game attracted dpm and modern weapons and there's no way I'd go to a game like that, it shows poor organisation, no matter how well the game itself goes.

I’m Aiming to get ANY modern gun scrimed, no arguments!

NO DPM, if someone is wearing it then they are not playing, harsh I know!

If people don’t have period gear then they must be in look alike clobber, olive green and tan overalls for Allies, and flecktarn or black overalls for Axis.

Haggard was a good example of Lookalike gear, and that’s what I won’t for this game. Plus no running around and shooting a MG, you must be stationary and have it mounted or on the ground to be able to fire it! Otherwise you will have people turning up with high cap mags and running around gating everyone.

There will also be ammo limits, what they will be I haven’t decided yet.

Just my zwei Pfennig's worth here - one of the reasons we had such a good kit turnout at Haggard was because it was run on a non-scheduled week at GZ. (They play there once a fortnight.) If your WWII game is scheduled on a date that is normally in the calendar, then no matter what, you will always have some divots that don't read the forum and turn up anyway. In addition, I somehow managed to overcome the site owner giving out incorrect information about kit on the GZ forum, by closely monitoring that forum, politely correcting any misinformation, and directing potential players to this forum (where they were all most impressed with the friendly nature here). It took a fair bit of effort, but proved to be worth it in the end.

So Pimms, old chum - for weapon / kit counts as rules and ammo limits, I would heartily recommend the CiA rules - they have been proven successful. :good:

Well thats exactly what me and Zero Bravo want :D

Hope you've all seen the CiA game for December 14th. It would be great to get a good KG SS turnout for this, as it's a battle where the Germans (at least, initially) were on the offensive. It also gives us time to get a training day in before the game. :good:

on the december 14th game at bolton

HERE IS SOME TOP SECRET INFORMATION (please dont post on the open forum, lets keep em guessing)

ive been posting about some armour on the forum to put some scares in the allies.

its not just bullshite,

i am designing and building a small scale 251 halftrack (it will only crew two) im sorry guys i cant transport anything bigger :( , but i will spray it up in SS markings, also i may be able to get my brothers MG42 for this too. so it will all be good

the things only 1 metre wide and two and a half metres long, so it may look a bit cheesy. but it will go through woodland trees (in between narrow gaps) and on rough ground as it is TRACKED with real propper tracks, only a speed of 5mph so i plan on using it as an armoured mg position. as long as thier infantry are kept from dropping a frag in it, it should help roll up allied positions

lets face it , even if oddballs tank comes, no one will be allowed to shoot it. i activley want people to frag the HT and shoot the SHITE out of it, im going to use thin alluminum, so BB hits will sound loud,it will also DENT real easy and the paint will chip so that people peppering the HT with aeg fire up close ,will get a result for their work!

Sounds briliant. If we can mount a '42 with a periscope, we can hose the allies without being shot ourselves (like Kermit did at D-Day)! Also, a bit of armour to advance behind never hurt anyone.

Talking of vehicles, my Uncle has been over from the Czech Republic and he reckons that Ural motorbike combos and UAZ and GAZ jeeps are ten a penny and dirt cheap over there, so I may well be driving/riding one back next year when I go visit him!

im thinking aromur as a bullet magnet, it will have a shield around the gunner giving 160 degree protection to gunner, with about 45 degress of rotation to either side.

the sides and rear are vunerable, and this is good, the HT draws fire, plain and simple, everyone with a gun will want to pop off at it, especially if they see it getting damaged :D

if anyone tries to flank it, a small covert protection team 20m to the rear can get them.

the idea is to put the HT with noisy engine, of to a flank to draw attension from an attack, whilst it can provdie cover fire, as the allies take cover from the tank, chances are they would leave themself open to another side for sniper fire

my boss is on holiday the first 2 weeks of november, and this is the main welding and riveting project , (im using the workshop at work) ill also spray it at work , (using works gear again :D )

the "chassis" is actually a hire machine from work , this will have a 251 "shell" and front end bolted on top and finished in situ at work, then before his holiday ends i will then then dissasemble it, and keep it in my garage at home, then ill build it at the game site the morning of the event, (less than 15 mins to do, as long as my design works out) i dont really want a 251 with ss markings sat on my drive, the wife :wife: would kick me out

i thought about a kett, but 1 burst of aeg fire, and its all over for the crew, so its not much tactial use!

also as the "chassis", has steering brakes (tillers) there no way i could mod a handle bar combo on there with out permantly welding the machine, (something the boss wouldnt like  ) he dosnt know his lovley kits going in to combat at all , ill "borrow" it for the weekend to "sort out my garden boss"

the "chassis" is a works hire fleet vechle at the end of the day, and when not being a 251 it has to go back to its boring job of working on building sites :slap:

 Or a BTR 70? We could make a Puma out of that, how cool would that be?

Tony, your HT wouldn't be based on something like this would it?-- attachment is not available --

its simmilar chassis, but mines better and bigger , it has propper floppy tracks, those on the photo are like jap or eytie tracks,

its also a total different configuration, and when the 251 kit goes on it wll be twice the length with roadwheels at the front

Sorry guys the 251 is a NO-NO,

ive been "dry" building the framework today, its no the right dimensions for the chassis at all :slap:

But all is not lost, ive found a bloody good panzer to "mock up" instead

The Sig 33

-- attachment is not available --

its not much tactical use, (it can be flanked VERY easily) but i will give the allies something to shoot at and give the germans some much needed engine noises in game

im waiting to get confirmation to use it in game, if this comes through, then ill start building "propper" this week :good:
