So Chris is happy to talk dates to get this game back on.

I've told him we'd like to use the site from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. So, when's good for this?

October maybe? July?

July has Josh's game - it's a new site so might attract interest from many.
October (any weekend) is good for me in any case.
Bonus is that daylight hours are short and sunset varies from around 18:45 to 17:45 depending on the date. We can do an enforced ceasefire at (say) 10pm and still have had three hours play in the dusk/dark. Players get plenty of chat time/sleep time ready for an early restart at (say) 6 or 7am and endex at 2pm. Even the furthest travellers will be back in time to give the kids a bedtime story having had perhaps 18 hours gaming.

I'm on nights in October and can only do the weekend of 25th/26th.

Well that's fine with me. We will have to tell them not to put their watches back until they leave on Sunday else it will get blummin confusing!

Ah balls. Just had a PM from bigkie, he and Lardy were planning their Grafton game for October...I totally missed that.

We need to rethink as they did announce this in the organisers section at the beginning of March.

The calendar's pretty much filled every month, so I can't see how we can make this work. Fecking 34th sticking all the SISKs on.

Hmm, I'm narked they are going for Grafton - can't they find their own bloody site? It does mean that a lot of the game play will be lost as a lot depended on the freshness of the site and the unknown areas. Once people know where things are it will be obvious where rendezvous and stopping off points will be.

How about we beat then to it and go for early July or early August?

My thoughts exactly, especially as they knew we wanted to revisit Hut 9 if/when Grafton came back.

I can do:

July 19th/20th and 26th/27th

August 1st/2nd

Can't do either of those July dates but, can do the August one.

Got to agree with you David, Lardy and fat gut mong (both gunman lapdogs) should not be reaping the fruits of our labours in terms of a WW2 virgin site. Do they have a gameplan? As I recall, we were pretty much done and dusted with ours. Where have they got with Chris re:dates and permission? I also thought they were running their game at Fireball? No mention of Grafton when they floated the date on the organiser's section (nor, anything since).

EDIT - Almost forgot, I think there's far too many sisks going on. I think it's a big mistake to be giving them forum space, it just encourages them.

I'm not too bothered about SISKs, there are one or two who have recently announced without any prior consultation, but I don't like people bagsying so many dates early on. The 34th and Josh bagged three weekends each without even sites or game plans. Lardy and Bigkie did mention October, but it was only very recently that I realised they were looking at Grafton.

Still, if we're happy with the 1/2 August, we'll get in there before them. But that's only a week after Josh's Hockwerk game...

Happy with that? If so, I'll go back to Chris.

Kieren has noted the concern over two games at the site, even though games might be completely different, and is now looking at different sites.

So this does give us other options and that is to run it 1/2 August as said, or October (if Lardy plumps for a date at the very beginning of the month) or November or December, or indeed postpone to next year

Yes, 1/2 August is a week after Josh's game but I'm not sure, thinking about it, that he has ever actually run a 'Secret Mission' :ghey: game - haven't they all been pulled?

Yes, along with his "combat missions".

Yes, Kieran PMd me about the date clash so I replied mentioning that Grafton was always going to be our site if it came back on line. A summer date would be better for this if possible.

Want me to ask Chris is 1st August is free?

Ok, have asked Chris for the first.

He's come back and said he'll look into it, but the cost per head will be £40.

If we go for £50 per person, that should give us enough.

If we're happy with that, I'll let him know and he'll take it to the site owners.

That's fine. I wonder why he has to go to the site owners though - surely they already have permission to use the site!

Because of the overnights I suspect. I've told him we'll need it from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon - I suspect some might need to come on the Friday...

OK, we are officially a 'GO' for the weekend of 1st August.

Dave, do you want to move the forum back into the main section and rename it for this year?

I'll get the booking thread sorted tomorrow (Tuesday).
