There's little chance they will get muddy on site, as there is about 5% mud cover. It's mostly rock dust and clay dust, which easy comes off without washing :good:

As Steiner said no need to bother about washing them as far as I'm concerned. The scruffier you look the better you'll fit in. I'd guess Dave probably only washed his to try and fade them down a bit to look more used.

Back to helmet painting, Flame of War have just brought out base coat spray paint cans for Early/Mid and Late war armys, and this includes a can of DunkelGleb (sorry about the spelling), I got it for my FOW DAK and will bring it along to the game if anybody needs to borrow it.

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

I took Anthony's DAK package deal on the forum for £130 and I am very pleased with it, although I have only got half way through my sewing and glueing task. However, whilst speaking to him, it turns out he has a few DAK ankle boots for only £40, albeit only in size 9 for those with ballerina feet, unlike my own aircraft carriers  .

Seeing as you are DAK too, you will be particularly welcome on the lift front
