Here is a chance to discuss what thoughts you have on the clothing for the event.

Well for the US the basic idea is M43's or M41 jackets if possible but any other suggestions are open.

German we want to see the BLING factor we all know many of you have the stuff in the wardrobe so here is the chance to show it off :happydance:

Now the big one is French Resistance FR or FFI what are you going to do?

You can pick up stuff easy for this particularly if you like the classic ideas.

Or one for the women on the forum.

We would also like to see some custom improvisation if you feel up to the task, we would like each FR to have their own armband.
This can be a simple one BLUE with a cross of Lorraine or more detail like this.

Here is an original on eBay

Thanks mate good links I didn't have much luck finding them :good:

We would like them not to get confused with bandages so if you are making one keep that in mind.

Most were 'home made' so there was a whole range of styles.
Normally they were not worn at all.

Yes that is my thought so if home made people could give it a go and make their own.

The way the rules are to work is that the French are not fired on until they have committed a vengeful act. Once they have they are to wear the band for the day.
The only time they would not start wearing the band is if they have committed an act of clandestine sabotage or a stealth kill.

We don't want them to look like bandages or red Nazi armbands etc. :D

If anyone has some spare German kit and can bring it along it could be handy providing they don't mind to lend/hire it out that is.

Last time I did a site visit on that place the games were cancelled but about 5 people still turned up so I half expect the same so happen when we run a WW2 event there.

If I can use some sheep that stray in and can be pushed into a uniform I will much like that old B&W film where they use dead bodies in fort battlements to look like live people

Now what was that film was it They Died with their Boots On or Beau Geste?

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
