Found this site while going through some sites, and had to sign up right away.

I've been doing airsoft since roughly 2001 on and off, currently helping out at a more modern airsoft site with SouthWestWarGames, and have been into the WWII side of things for a fair bit of my life, though never combined the two really up untill now

I'm Plymouth based, and as of yet I own no real kit, but hopefully with a little guidance from the guys n gals here, I'll be able to source some good clothing, rigging and weaponry ^^
I generally swing to the Axis side of things (allthough I favor the M1 Garand over the Kar 98, but hey, nothing says a german cant use a fallen enemy weapon if his own doesnt work *whistles*)

Hopefully once funds allow, I might see a few of you at a event in uniform!

Hello and welcome. At the moment, the only M1 Garands are self-converted ones from M14s - goodness knows why this niche in the market has still not been exploited. Anyway, have a look around the forum and the kit guides (on the menu bar at the top). Don't rush into buying - it's often worth posting up in the Wanted section too. :)

Hehe thanks for the info, gone through some of the kit guides and other peoples photos, think I've found some basic stuff to start with I can use, and a few nice MP40/44's out there for £130/200 as a starter german gun.
Do you think this load out will be allright to start with?

Yes, Julian at Epic is a recommended supplier. The only other essential you'll need is a belt and buckle. I assume you're thinking of Heer (army), rather than Waffen SS. Heer is probably a simpler kit - no extra camo garments required. If so, get the Heer belt buckle.

Good start! You will find plenty of other bits to spend your money on, though!!

Indeed, while I prefere the slightly darker looking SS Uniforms, they would require a fair bit more in the time and monatery side of things, something I currently lack hehe.
Will add the belt n buckle to the list of things to pick up :3 who knows, maybe I'll be able to build a SS uniform in the future, actually found a place selling a full SS uniform (cap, boots, rigging, the whole works) for just under £370
SS M36 Uniform Tunic
SS M36 Uniform Breeches
SS EM Field Cap
SS EM Collar tabs (rank of your choice)
SS EM Cuff title (of your choice)
SS EM belt
EM Shoulder boards
Iron Cross 1st Class
Iron Cross 2nd class Ribbon
SS EM Marcjing Boots (Jackboots)
Y Straps (webbing)
K98 Mauser Ammunition Pouches (one pair)

If you want to play as a german mabe have a look at UCZ Exeter's "Outpost" Haloween game nazi zombies vs PMC's

That'll be a trick of the light - both Heer and Waffen SS uniforms were Feldgrau (field grey) in colour. There are only slight differences between some of their tunics, but they are pretty much identical. Your original choice of the M40 was a good one - that will be authentic for all events - unless we do Poland, which is pretty unlikely!

Be warned, you can literally spend as much on insignia as the uniform! Better to get just the essentials, which is EM chest eagle, collar tabs and shoulderboards.

Aye I've looked into that a little, the chest eagle I can get for maybe £15-20 in grey, not sure on shoulder boards (the M40 comes with pre edged ones) as for collar tabs would these be allright? http://www.epicmilitaria.com/shopimages ... 156_01.jpg

Actually, for the Tunic + trousers, just noticed this http://militaria-net.co.uk/oscommerce/c ... hp/pID/887 fair bit cheaper than buying the shoulders/collar/tunic/trousers seperately, would just need the chest eagle O.o they also do a standard M40/M43 but they both need the collar insignias still

Hmm, after pricing it all up, I can get:
M35 Helmet, M40 tunic, M40 trousers, collar tabs, breast eagle and Jack boots for about £200-230, little bit more if I swap the tunic and helmet for the SS varients.. thats not as bad as I thought O.o could have that in maybe a month, Tunic and Trousers next week :D
