Hello from Stafford, I've been Airsofting for 5 years now and have been interested in WW2 since I was a kid, I've been looking at branching out into WW2 events for sometime, I have participated in the rifleman, sniper and support roles on the skirmish site.
any sugestions and advice would be very welcome

Welcome Wraith! Suggestions? Get to a game sooner rather than later - don't stress about kit, playing is what matters!

Hi there - Stafford is not that far from Bolton (not as far as Bournemouth is!) - as CW says, get to a game. KGSS have kit to lend - PM Sgt Heide! :good:

Yep, I'm sure that I, or indeed, others in Kampfgruppe SS have enough kit to deck you out should you wish. Stafford is just up the road from me as well.

Just choose a "side" and build your kit over time. The "counts as" guides are there to help get you started and there are several sub groups for each army to help you out if you need any help or advice on a particular loadout.

By the way, welcome to the forum! :good:

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I have some kit on the way and will be looking for some more in my local surplus shop when I got home next weekend, all I really need to do is get a Gatt, I have had myeye on a KAR98k to go with my Brit para look, that way I can say I lost mine on landing and can always collect a German kit aswell.

also, any up comming games that I am able to get in on?, I know there's a game in December but it looks like the guest list is nearly full, I should have my kit by the start of Dec and am looking to go to an event, any help

There are no CiA games before that one. There is a WW2 game at F&O Matlock on 7th December, and also a training day for KG-SS on 16th November at Redditch.

like they said....

get yourself to a game or training sesh, check out the forums and prepare to get involved in a hobby that can make a crack habit look like the cheap option :)

oh, and welcome :good:

Well, I said I would keep you informed on the kitting process, I now have my Denison smock, but it's a Belgium one instead of the brit one I thought I had ordered, but nevermind, I also now have a set of webbing with two ammo pouches and a waterbottle cradle, a RAC helmet for £20 and just need to convert to para, some badges and a Para Beret, my weapon should be here tomorow, bolt action Kar98K as I am looking at the sniper role, and I'm just waiting on shoot 'n' scoot to get back to me about BD trousers.

any other ideas guys are more than welcome, a Lee enfield or SMLE are toys that I will get in 2010 after my Iraq tour
