might be an idea to go to a regular airsoft site and have a go to get a feel for it as its quite different from paintball ,but as has been said get stuck in as soon as possible ,people really are happy to lend kit out on a you bend it you mend it basis ,otherwise its really expensive to get started.its better to get a little of the correct kit and borrow the rest than get a load of lookalike kit and end up replacing it later.another thing you may not know coming from paintball is that the guns are classified as "realistic imitation firearms" and controlled under the "violent crime reduction bill" and in order to purchase them you need to be able to prove you have a reason for having them,this is easy enough as an airsoft club membership is usually enough,this will mean going to a club a few times to get the membership and a ukara number (UK Airsoft Retailers Association).Its quite fun regular airsoft but a long way removed from what we do so dont be put off by it if its not you'r thing.don't be afraid to ask questions we all do it and you can bet someone here knows the answer.hope to see you soon.

Good advice from Dadio. Airsoft is fairly different to paintball, WW2 airsoft even more so, so a good idea to try before you buy
