Saw the article in the recent Airsoft Int. mag. and looked up the website and have not stopped reading the forum threads yet (or it seems like it), what a great site and forum and an answer to a dream!. I was into WW2 re-enacting a long time ago with The British Re-enactment Association (yeah that long ago) as axis infantry, but what depleted was the lack of appeal when using blank firers and not being able to register casulties. So I got into modern airsoft for the last two years and then bought my 1st copy of the magazine and there it was WW2 airsoft. Everyone on the forum sounds friendly and helpful and although I can tell that all are striving for authenticity its nice to know its not at the exclusion of those who just want to enjoy the spirit of the scene. I have just ordered some kit and will need to source a WW2 weapon as I currently have modern, but cannot wait to get into the experience, Looking forward to meeting some of you in the very near future.
Best Wishes,
Paul.

Welcome Paul, it sounds like you have got the measure of what we are trying to achieve.

Players don't need to get all the kit first, then play. Battling is what it's all about - it takes me around a year to get each 'look' to where I want it, in the meantime no one will mind if it's work-in-progress.

Plenty of games this year, hope to see at one soon.

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. The old BRA? Think there's a few people that CiA have crossed paths with that were involved in that organisation!

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Welcome! If you're free on the weekend of 10-11 May there are still places left on the Battle for Bryansk Russian side. Play as a partisan and you only need some old clothes.

Depending on what your gun is, a bit of scrim wrapped around might be just the thing.

Have a look here:

Welcome old bean - new blood always welcome, and as Chommers said you've hit the nail on the head with regards to what CiA are all about. I've been here less than a year and I have three full loadouts, and it's all thanks to the chaps on here. You'll find this place a haven for 'adult' airsofters who like a drink, a laugh and a bloody good WW2 event!

Thanks to all for the really warm welcome. Its nice to know that I'm not stuck out in the wilds of Essex by myself, Pete59, I live 5 miles from Chelmsford, about 25-30 mins from Braintree and about the same into Romford, so it really is a small world. Thanks for the info. Headshot, unfortunately that is one of my weekends to work, though the thought of being a Russ. Partisan for a while was quite appealing, but it will just make me look forward to my first venture out even more.
Once again thanks for the welcome and hope to meet you all in person very soon.
Paul.

Thanks once again for all the hello's and welcomes from you guys on the forum, I have been looking at some of the images of the last few battle scenarios and the uniform and kit of allied and axis looks really brilliant. Just on the way to sorting out a weapon and hopefully should have my uniform together by the end of this week (looks like some heavy weight sewing to be done!). Look forward to meeting some of you soon then.

Paul.

Whoops only just seen this.

Hello Timber - we're just up the road from you.

Surely there's enough of us now in the area to go along and scare some of the regulars at an open day nearby.
