Welcome to the grown up side of airsofting 
Have a look at my sig strip to see the link to the WWII airsoft events . Most run the the "normal CiA rules" re ammo limits , kit, weapons and other restrictions all of which are milsim in inspiration and attempt to tranlate WW2 style of combat into airsoft . WWII events on here are exactly that , rather than open days with DPM warriors mingled in with SS troopers ( occasionally called SISKs by the more cynical, but never by me ...honest)
2008 is the best year to be joining the WWII scene , there are cracking events kicking off all over the country every month , so I look forward to seeing you in the 82nd kit shortly .

Some folk socialise in their field kit, a lot of us organisers change into officers togs...
Very few folk put modern kit on, its just more stuff to pack and take with you.

I'll be travelling down from Edinburgh in my feldgrau, with only my LFD splinter tunic to cover it up!
Last time I was heading home from a game I changed into civvies, but regretted it as I stood outside in below freezing temperatures at a bus station for three and a half hours! Ended up putting all the layers I had on.
