just another newbie checking in.
I'm 27 and I'm in Scotland at the moment (Although I spend a lot of time in London),wait this is starting to sound like a dating ad!:)
I've been looking into re-enactment groups for the past couple of years but never really had the time. I tried airsofting about '99-2000 but the price of AEG's and the lack of sites back then kinda put me off. But a friend put me onto some local sites and I went to visit wolf armories in Camden a few months back and was instantly taken by the look of the WW2 AEG's and thought this would be a fun way to combine the two.
At the moment I'm just using loaner guns and equipment as my own stuff is too varied (USSR,SAS,MOD,etc.)But I'm going to try and trade what I've got or consolidate it into either a Fallscrimjager or an Airbourne look.
Hi and welcome ![]()

Welcome to the forum so which will it be allied or axis that is your first choice if you are on a budget ![]()

Free speech is expensive these days!

Not 100% sure yet but a recent pickup of early East German jackboots that fit like a dream for £10 may sway me towards the Axis side of things.
Welcome

Thanks for the warm welcome!
It's quite refreshing to see a forum that has such constant use and so many regulars.
I'm still on the fence as to Axis or Allies. But I'm making good use of the kit guides here and scouring local surplus places (a bit rubbish up here) to price kit.
Surplus is good, but sometimes can be a bit of a waste of cash. From experence, it sometimes more cost effective to buy decent replica kit and then upgrade, once you decide on a specific look. The plus side is you can then sell on the stuff you don't need to fund the new bits of kit.
Pssst don't tell anyone I said this but german is the way forward

Wilkommen
German is good , but be aware Brit is the new German of 2009 , with Stens and Dennisons and everything .
Cheapo Airborne look, grab a denison , some passable trousers a beret and you're off for less than a ton ....apart from the gun ahem . Although if you can find a cheap MP40 as a captured weapon thats cool too .
Or buy a cheap MP40 , set of Strum Feldgraus and join the dark leather brigade ....choices choices.
A big plus is the right sort of helmet if you can , it really does distinguish between friend and foe.
If yers really on a budget scour about for some 1940's looking civvies , Resistance, Partisan and Abwehr all have featured regularily . Oh yes and don't forget the Hill in Scotland for Skirmishing or 9mm's site either .
Either way get stuck into the forum !
