Well I thought I would drop a short note as a way of an introduction. I’m Mick from Kent and I am now the wrong side of 40 and my athletic prowess has long gone along with the majority of my hair but never mind life goes on.
I have only been going to airsoft events for a few months and I have only played a couple of times all the other times I have been taking pictures. I saw the article in AI about the D-Day: Battle for Normandy event and from it found your web address. After reading and scanning the forum I decided that it could well be fun so here I am.
I would like to come to the Eagle has Landed event, and given that I can arrange things at home will hand over money in the next few days, given that there are still places for another German. I only decided to be German because I already have a MP40, WW2 Tan & Water Camo Smock and modern green lightweight trousers that I can remove the side pocket from, so just some gaiters, webbing, belt and hat of some form to get. Hope that sounds ok as my knowledge of WW2 uniforms is very limited so I will be making use of the search function to find what I need but if I mess up please bare with me.
Anyway enough of my waffling time to get my mug refilled with tea
Welcome, friend!

sounds good to me...

Hi Kermit, well I have only played twice ones at CAGE's site at Amherst and once with ACE combat at Paddock wood but I should be playing again this Sunday at Amherst, but I have been many times to CAGE to take pictures for them. I must admit I am looking forward to trying WW2 stuff I suspect it will be different from the games I have played/seen all I need to do is get the rest of my kit together.
I know Amherst well. I used to run it when it was FireFight Chatham!

My Re-enactment group will be at Fort Amherst for our drill training on 5/6th April. At least thats the plan.
We were there in 2006 as well...

Agreed, that way, when WW2 airsoft inevitably gets nubile 19 year old groupies, they're forced to go with the 25 year-olds like me!
