Hello Sam. My advice: don't rush into getting 101st - have a look at the kit pic thread in General WW2 Airsoft bit, and see what takes your fancy. Whilst still undeniably cool, 101st loadout is the Ford Mondeo of WW2 airsoft loadouts!

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

Welcome Sam. Don't be put off by peoples aversion to 101st loadouts, its just that needles to say there are quite a few about. If thats what you really want to do then go ahead and do it, we're happy to have you.

Just wanted to make a point about the101st. It's a wonderful look. Last weekend i attended my first big WW11 Game, Carantin, there was probably over hundred 101st uniforms.

Huh?! Were people wearing two uniforms or were there really only 20 Germans??? ;)

Welcome to the forum! I have to say, as literally one of the first airsofters to put together a 101st loadout I would recommend having a good look at what's on offer before you leap into it. No point in shelling out for kit you want to change down the line.

More importantly, however, is that you get yourself to a game. There are a couple of games planned for December. CiA's game has places on both Allied and German sides and you REALLY don't need to get a full loadout to attend. We have pretty relaxed rules for kit.

Cheers!

Cahnged my first post to avoid looking like a jerk sorry for any offence, I have 101stphobia.

Honsetly Though 101st is a great place to start because so many do it your always going to be in a large group with others with exactly the same loadouts like lardy says, the airborne lot always seems more laidback more normal airsoft type chaps great for starting out with, then you can expand and get moar loadouts like Scaley said, I started with Big Red 1 because I did'nt copy that from a film did I *Sarcasm* eventualy il end up with an airborne kit its just a matter of time.
