Sorry Gadge ,misread it was your posting. Definately going with the kilt on this one , also looks like I've sourced a loan of the kit I was missing.A mate who's a collector has offered to lend me the appropriate gasmask and bag,1907 bayonet and frog and waterbottle holder.

I just saw this over at ASC UK... basically its a repro MkVII gas mask bag.

But with a daft logo on it.. :( But that may be hideable.

Its cool but cantyou get a real one for much less?

That's phase one of my 1940 concoction procured, now onto a uniform. :?

Plenty of leather French webbing on e-bay. A lot is Algerian stuff but still the same pattern.
Beware the long leather pouches are often 50s ones. They fit the mp40 mags a treat though.

If you find as site for tunics etc, do tell :good:

Cheers

I really and truly can not.

I have looked and looked but even the chaps who re-enact the French 1940 fellows do so in shirts and greatcoats (from what I can tell) and no militaria stuff has come up either. I don't know if there are secret words to type in to find more but I am just about out I think.

Do you have a load of reference pics?

Send them to Sanjay and get him to quote for a bespoke one - bet it comes in at less than £150 posted.

This game had better be ace now! I've sold my Systema PTW to fund a loadout (or two!).

I've got all of my kit for this now, with all of the correct RTR insignia sourced and attached to my battledress :good: . Now all I need to do is get the time off work for the game! :slap:

No disrespect meant at all, just squaddie banter, like calling Green Jackets "falling plates", or Sherwood Foresters "men in tights". ANYONE who goes into battle wearing a kilt has my utmost respect!-- attachment is not available --

There's nothing better designed to put the Fear of God into your enemy than a man in kilt running across the battlefield at them !
