really getting excited now, looking forwards to this event very much. 8/10.
I've been excited about this ever since it was announced, spent a fortune, checked my kit 3 times this week already.Excited ? nah !
Bought early war tunic and trousers for this - will be the first time I'm wearing them (apart from around the house / going to Tesco Express, etc). So, I'm excited about wearing the kit, if nothing else!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Excited about the event, not looking forward to wearing battledress if it's hot!
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
We will suffer for our art!

We could just let Lardy run around in his Afrika Korps uniform - not exactly period dress for 1940, but he'll be cooler than everyone wearing wool and we can sit and eat icecream
Yup.. I'm looking forward to shedding a few pounds of sweat in my BD... I think I may have to undo my top button...
Players may be relieved to know they won't be running around like blue-arsed flies (if blue-arsed flies could actually run, which they can't). This will be a slow and measured event where life preservation is more important than ammunition expenditure!
Despite the heat players may care to pop a pair of gloves into a pocket as an anti-bramble/nettle measure.
Oh, excited? I can't say I'm ever excited by the prospect of a WW2 event but I'm certainly looking forward to it. Got the usual pangs of organiser anxiety though!
* What the hell is a 'pang' - ridiculous word! *
pang (păng)
n.
1. A sudden sharp spasm of pain.
2. A sudden sharp feeling of emotional distress.
Every time I've been to FSA I've come back with tens if not hundreds of tiny little bramble needles embedded in my hands. So small that they are impossible to remove, but after a week or so they tend to work themselves out.
Still I won't be wearing gloves. Most of mine are way too farby!

How thoughtful of you Del. No matter how tempted I am though I think I'll stick to the wool to be authentic and die of heat exhaustion with the rest of my kamraden.
I might wear it saturday night if its hot, although I have been wearing it to walk the dog so its a tad dirty for a DuB uniform.

*Sigh* There's no need to worry Dave. Oh, and I've never seen you excited.....about anything.....other than our calendar photo at D-Day.
Oh yes, I was "excited" on the calendar shoot - that's why we couldn't publish the pics!
Explains why you didnt need to hold onto your cap with your hands David

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress

And once again the calendar is mentioned, you missed out on an opportunity there, you could have had payments not to publish it, instead you didn't and well you've no profit either way
Well, we are looking for a Calendar Girls page for this year's calendar. How convenient we have a few female players at Ariel...
