There are some very nice and very cheap ex-Dutch Army overalls on ebay that Lardass and myself will be using:

Mine took almost 28 days to arrive, so if you want a pair I'd order them now. They look very snazzy with heer sidecaps
They're ideal!
28 days to arrive from stockport?! wow! Looks good though
Well I ordered mine in a rush on Saturday after seeing how long Beds's took arrive. It turned up this morning.
I bought a marked version to save cash but its only a couple of splotches so it looks fine, even adds to the authenticity. I was worried it might be a bit short on the leg only being a 30 but it fits just fine. Plenty of room for my wools underneath as well, although I might just go for a shirt and tie on the top half.
Just need to get a chest eagle for it and a Heer sidecap to complete the look.
Excellent.
Remember as a uniformed German engineer you can carry a pistol too.

just like on H&D2 hehe

Equally, as a German engineer, you *won't* be allowed to carry an AEG or rifle, unless the alarm has been sounded, and then you'll have to run and fetch it from the armoury first.
Unless ordered to carry on with your work, that is.

Here is a picture of my Grandfather wearing his engineer overalls:
Note removable metal chest eagle and shoulder boards indicating rank - which seems pretty obvious in retrospect. Also civilian shirt and tie, which may not be right for an EM in a military installation.
Well I think I'll go for the shirt and tie anyway as it looks good. I may well go with the metal eagle, looks nice and saves on the sewing. I'm not sure what the best choice of shoulderboards would be for an engineer in a factory/research facility. Any ideas?

Exactly what attracted me to the role. Well actually it was the enginners in the V2 factory in H&D1.

Thats why I asked to borrow extra pistol mags. I'll have a K98 in armoury though. And the kit to switch to a garrison soldier if (absoultely) necessary although I'm looking forward to playing an engineer.

Wouldn't simple black piping ones be the best bet? http://www.epicmilitaria.com/product.ph ... ack-piped-

Goodness me, that takes me back to my school days that game!
Pioneer is perhaps the most obvious and easy to find but is that really what we are? Could also come under construction (light brown), ordinance (orange?) or specialist weapons('Bordeaux' red)? Maybe I'm just thinking too much into it.

Weapons Specialist Eh? Sounds fun considering you are making some kind of weapon

it's a tricky one. i've been trying to find any decent references, they could legitimately come under the auspices of the Reichsforschungsrat, (Reich Research Council), Organisation Todt (thought Todt himself died in early '42 and the OT was absorbed into the Ministry for Armaments and War Production), or even the RAD.
The problem is the OT relied heavily on slave labour, and the RAD seemed to be less specialist, so i've not found out who the engineers were directly commanded by in actuality.
You could do a Beamte role? A little different and the shoulder boards are not hard to find, try and get the black secondary waffenfarbe. Yep, Beamte got two colours.

Unless we can get Beamte boards for a few quid on t'internet I think they're off the menu
My thinking is that a secret facility like this would simply take specialists from whatever arm of service they happened to be in at the time. You were a soldier first and an engineer second.
Then we can wear whatever waffenfarbe we have
Wanting to shoot people or hit them with a wrench?
Well I have infantry, artillery, Jager and Panzergrenadier. I don't think any of those fit particularly well unless I can recolour the artillery ones (I need the rest).

I'm aiming for a bit of both.

Thats where I got mine, cheapish too.
