Just over a month left and we could do with a few more Germans to make this more of a challenge for the Jeds/SAS.

If you're planning to book, please do let us know as we need to have a rough idea of numbers to get the scenario finalised. The best was to do this, of course, is to book!

My cheque is in the post at the moment, application for jedburgh is in with it, but if you are short of Germans in the end then I don't mind changing to join them.

Thanks for the offer Wraith, but we shouldn't need that just yet. But we are going to restrict Allied places for now to retain balance for the two sides.

And thanks too to Josh for the offer of German kit! There are lots of other offers of kit on the table from other players, so please, if you are lacking something have a look or post here: viewtopic.php?f=136&t=9978

Kit restrictions for this event are not as strict as you'd think, and as we've said before, there's no point in spending oodles on every little bit of kit if you never skirmish in it!!

I've posted the following on the booking thread:

OK folks, we've had a bit of a conflab about bookings and the balance of teams.

In order to maintain said balance we're going to limit the Allied bookings for now. With this in mind this means that there are currently only three Allied places remaining. One for the Jeds, and two for the SAS. If you want one of these places I'd advise booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment as we can't guarantee that we'll extend bookings beyond this.

For the Germans we're provisionally capping at 20 players. Once we reach 20 we'll then look at opening the bookings further for both Allies and Germans.

Please do book asap to avoid any disappointment.

Thanks

HS

i really fancy this .....
i had a chat with the wifey again last night, and tried petes reasoning agian, conversation went like this,

JP ,"hey darling, this game on the 10th 11th of july, i could have it as a birthday weekend do, instead of any presents " (birthdays the 14th)
wife ,"oh arnt we doing anything that weekend"
JP ," nah im not bothered about a birthday , as long as i see you and the kids on the monday"
wife ,"are you sure WERE doing nothing"
JP ," errrrrrrmm ..................." (trying to remember whtas important near my birthday)
then in a moment of clarity i remembered
i got married the day after my birthday so id never forget the aniversary
guess who almost forgot

JP," ah, i was just seeing if you`d remember, OF COURSE were doing something"

so now im franticly trying to arrange some child cover and a nice do for the wife

so im defo not coming to this now, id been trying for ages to think of excuses to get out of a birthday do, but theres no way i can dodge the aniversary

and before anyone suggests it, wifey would NOT look kindly on a "jedburgh weekend aniversary present" (mores the pity)

That's a shame Porta. I'm a bit luckier - I've never been one to be kowtowed by the tyranny of birthdays, anniversaries or fictions such as Mothers Day - one day is the same as any other to me! (Its a bit different with the children of course, I wouldn't like to come across as a heartless old bugger  )
