500 x 600 metre battle area, quite small for a 2 day battle, but i wish them luck all the same :good:

The available fields in Belgium aren't that large. Normally we play on fields even smaller... And this field is one of bigger ones in Belgium. Finding fields which are allowed to use for airsoft are scarce, which is a pitty.

But with 60 players there is enough room for maneuvers.

in the uk airsoft normally happens in forrests , or buildings

fields are rarely used, as airsoft weapon ranges are so short, and its frustrating seeing people , without being able to hit them.
trees and buldings reduce the sight range and provide more cover.

surely with the ardenne forrests theres a landowner who will let you fight in the woodland ?

may be worth you looking in to, you may startr a new trend :good:

hope it gos well mate, more airsoft in the world can only be a good thing :D

I wouldn't call The Valley a field at all. Lot's of different densities of forest with a system of dirt roads and the occasional Hill. Excellent terrain for a WWII event. :good:

And I wish It was that easy to ''just ask the landowner". In Belgium you need at least 3 signed papers from the authority to take a dump.

For the ones dying for pictures, you can have a look at these four albums;

http://www.ww2airsoft.eu/media/thumbnails.php?album=137
http://www.ww2airsoft.eu/media/thumbnails.php?album=136
http://www.ww2airsoft.eu/media/thumbnails.php?album=135
http://www.ww2airsoft.eu/media/thumbnails.php?album=134

And a few impressions:

And I see I made a mistake with my translation, with 'field' I more mean the 'playing area' than that it was actually a field of gras.
Like Babe already explained (and you can see on the picutres) it's a forest with dirt roads going through it. And with different types of vegatation and trees.

Jep, was a great event. With enough stuff for improvement. But I guess you will always have things like that.
