Hi Jimbo, do you have a GPS position for your site.

The woods don't have a post code but this is the nearest that I have. Clapham woods(haunted you know :| ) about a mile from the site BN13 3UB.
As for GPS sorry not sure. At least that gets you within stabbing distance.

Looking at TomTom there are 2 turnings off the A27 that could be it. The first one is at N 50.84047, W 0.43324. The other one is a few hunderd yards after that

Here's the directions from the EAG site.

Head down to the south coast to the A27.

If you're coming from an EASTERLY direction, head towards Worthing untill you're on the A27 then head towards Arundel. As you leave the outskirts of Worthing the A27 goes into dual carriageway. Go along short stretch then take the next major turn off (A280) and double back on yourself. as you leave the slip road, there's a roadsign (Worthing 5 miles, Brighton 16) a further 300 yards, then a sort of layby then a sharp turning left onto the site. There's normally blue and red armbands showing.

If you're coming from the WEST, head to Arundel then go along A27 and on towards Worthing, appox 5 miles outside Arundel is a major turn off which goes towards London and the A24 /A280 junction go past this and 300 yds past the slip road is the entrance.

The bit I'd add is drive slowly along the A27 when you get to Clapham woods. The first small entrance has a gate blocking it, you want the 2nd entrance about 100yds further. It's pretty well hidden but I think there's some yellow tape hung in the trees immediately before the entrance.

Looking forward to tomorrow, be good to meet up and put some faces to the names on here.

It's the goodwood revival, this weekend and the traffic around Chichester is likely to be a nightmare! Do not count on a clear run through and it might even be worth planning your journey to avoid the area totally, off the top of my head, maybe skirt up the m3 and se if you can divert across to the a 24 and pop down that way. Thinking of you in particular Stof, coming from Portland, it's not quite as bad as the festival of speed which resulted in a 5 mile tailback on the A27 approach to Chichester, but it still could be a pain! Sorry for the late notice

Hmm. Chichester revival. LOTS of old cars driving much too slowly. Spoke to an old bloke at the petrol station and told him he could get free money from the Govt. by scrapping his 1943 Alvis for a new Mondeo but he didn't seem interested

Good day's skirmishing. Good bunch of guys and a top effort by the Free French stag party who I understand hadn't played any airsoft before. :good:

Pictures please...

Thanks to all the guys who turned up to give Kroot and his rag tag Frenchies a really great day. Some of them had never played airsoft before, but being medieval reenactors they certainly know how to battle! Stof your SMLE is awesone and I'm definately going to be having a go with my Tanaka into a No4. That has got to be the easiest conversion ever and the mag goes in the right place!
Nelly who took hundreds of photos is uploading them to photobucket as I type and I'll post a link as soon as he's finished, but there were loads, so it may take a while!
Great gameplay by all, Going to have to organise another soon. :good:

Hi Jimbo, thanks for a great day, well thought out scenarios, tremendous company and the food was magnificent ,very impressed with the effort you put in to make sure everyone had a good time.
And my deepest apologies to the guy with the bb in the nose,it was one of those unfortunate Tanaka accidents, a snapshot at a running man ,range was reasonable and I aimed for a lower body shot, unfortunately he dived to the ground as I fired, can't say just how sorry I am he ended up with a wound.
Dead chuffed you like the SMLE, give me a call if you need any help/advice when you start yours.-- attachment is not available --

Photos from the day, there are literally hundreds, but there are some fantastic photos including the most horrific nose piercing ever!
There is a cracker of you Stof having just fired with gas at the end of your rifle. I think the French guys really look the part and the regs who donned partisan loadouts did a very good job.
Many thanks to Nelson who gave up a day, wore civvies to blend in ( and so nearly got shot loads of times to get those photos) and stuck the whole lot on photobucket instead of charging top money for a dvd! He gets a free game pass next time he turns up :good:

Thanks to all involved. Great enemy (boo the Germans) and wonderful food from Jimbo. Fun scenarios from a first timer. And thanks to Fred and the other Allies for joining the French cause.

Loved the mexican stand off with the Geman and French prisoners. How you managed not to get shot Peiper! I was using you as cover, and still you lived! Bloody lucky German that one. Insipired last mad dash at the end. But we did win, by a nose :slap:

We're up for a revenge battle next year

Just been looking through the pics, top quality, captured the day really well.

Great game on Sunday, good bunch of people, well thought out scenarios and some pretty intense action especially in the afternoon. Being my first 'proper' WW2 game I thought the immersion in the game was excellent. Our senior NCO (I don't know his name) on the german side did a stirling job organising the tactics and making sure everyone know what to do. it certainly made it feel like a cohesive unit.

Congrats to the Frenchies on winning. I talked to some of Kroots guys afterwards and they certainly seemed to have enjoyed themselves. A change from hacking each other to death with broadswords I suppose. Looking forward to the rematch.

As one of "Kroots' all sorts" must admit that as my first airsoft game, and first WW2, the bug has bitten me.

I suspect my first objective is to improve my 'impression' for FFI/Resistance, and try and improve my general game skills by the February game. :good:

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile
