Operation Impromptu Training Day and Mini Skirmish - 27th September 2009 First and Only, Matlock

Hi all

I'm arranging a bit of a training day and mini skirmish to replace the Jedburgh event we were planning. NOTE: This is an event that I'm organising and it is not an official CiA event.

The long and short of it is that a very committed chap booked a flight from Germany to attend Jedburgh which he cannot cancel so it would be good to introduce him to WW2 battle reenactment in the UK in a good way!!

I'm going to be speaking to people about providing training for specialist roles and we can practice some set scenarios, followed by an afternoon scenario to put all the training into full practice.

If you're interested in coming you can either pay up front to me via paypal or cheque, or you can pay on the day.

The generous chaps at F&O have also said that we can camp at the site on the evening of 26th September, but the landowner will charge £5 per person for this. We don't usually need an excuse for a social, but this site has the added benefit of being a regular dogging site for the good people of the peaks. That's free if you want to partake, but you'll need a car with working headlights.

==================================================================================================

BOOKING (Booking isn't necessary, but will guarantee your place)

The cost to attend is £15 (£20 if camping) and can be paid in three ways:

- Paypal to sbadham14(at)hotmail(dot)com (at)=@ (dot)=.
- Cash or cheque payable to 'Stephen Badham' and sent to:

Stephen Badham
9 Regent Place
Birmingham
B1 3NJ

Include your full name, forum name, and side playing.

15 places on each side are available for booking.

Unlike CiA events, fees are refundable if you are unable to attend.

NB: If you don't want to book please PM me and I'll add your name to the list as a provisional booking.

Any questions? Just ask.

Anyone want to do a mass pyro order from TLSFX?

What uniforms are you looking for for both sides?
Infantry or Para for the Allies?

Hi

As it's not a formal event, I'm not fussed about uniform restrictions, but would like everyone to be in decent WW2 kit. Think of this as an opportunity to get to know your comrades and 'enemy' a little better and have a practice on some of the skills you've learnt.

All units from all countries are welcome, US, Brit, Polish, German, Italian, Japanese (!), Russian...etc.

Cheers

HS

Hi Martin

I'm sorting that with Che and Carl, but he might need boots if he's got big feet. ;)

I'm waiting to see if I have to fly on the 27th or 28th then I'd like to book in if there is space left.
