A WILLINGNESS TO GET WET, MUDDY, FOLLOW COMMANDS BY THE DIRECTING STAFF AND LEARN

self sufficiently is paramount for this, once you're in the field you're staying there.

military style instruction will be given as if your life depended on it , you'll need a thick skin as our instructors (with over 30 years miltirary experience between them) will tell you frankly if you're not correct.

Under qualified ex military personnel

Maybe you should re-phrase that?

I'm going to barge to the front of the queue for this like any good German, providing the dates work.

I'll firm up a date for this shortly, it should be a good day. We'll be using this as the basis for further training, so consider this the foundation stone for more advanced and interesting training in the future.

Although we are covering some sniper techniques, you won't need a scoped rifle (although feel free to use one). It will all be hands on stuff, with mostly practical work. We'll try to keep the boring "classroom" stuff to a minimum.

Interested in this, subject to date.

Would need to borrow some trousers, helmet and webbing and will need to scratch around for a bolt action (does it have to be a No 4?).

Check with Sgt Heide but it just has to be a airsoft rifle capable of engaging targets accurately at range as far as im aware.

Definitely a bolt action (or something like an M1 carbine), as we'll be zeroing at 30 metres and then moving targets back to 50 metres plus and AEG's just don't shoot that far (unless they're hot!). Doesn't matter what type of bolt action, as long as it's a WW2 one. :good:

We've used it for a but of SS training before. While elements of the site have some paintballyness to them, the ground itself it generally very good for manouvre

No date is yet set in stone and there's never a day to suit everyone. Other possibles are 22nd August (although this is the first day of Ramadan, so may clash for some), or the 5th or 6th of September. As I said, I actually need to speak to the owners and tie them to a date. Ideally, a date when there are as few paintballers there as possible.

Ok, I've finally managed to tie down a date. It's set for Sunday 6th September at Hilton Park. At the moment, we will have the place to ourselves. If, all of a sudden, loads of paintballers book in, the date may have to change, as we need a bit of room to move.

The cost is £20. £10 will be payable in advance via paypal to Gadge (we'll organise this over the coming days) and the balance of £10 is payable on the day. We'll start a seperate booking thread soon as well.

I've finalised what we'll cover on the day and this is it.

1) Rifle zeroing and marksmanship, including firing positions.
2)Transition to sidearm and pistol shooting. (For those MED moments!).
3)Judging distance.
4)Camouflage & concealment, including a mini exercise.
5)Observation.
6)Movement & stalking.
7)A stalking exercise/shoot to bring it all together.

It will be quite a long day of training/sneaking about, so be prepared! The vast majority will be practical, hands on stuff, so expect to get a bit dirty in the process. If there's any time left at the end, I'll try to cover the locating and construction of a hide/o.p as well.

Kitlist.

South staffords kit preferred, Axis by prior arrangement, pm me if you want to come.
Helmet with net.
Cap/jeep cap/cap comforter/headover/toque, or something of that ilk.
Face veil.
Fighting order webbing.
Cam cream/cork.
Mug, mess tins, cooking stove, KFS, your own food, water.
A bolt action rifle - scoped or unscoped, your choice, with suitable ammo.
A pistol of some description. (If you have one).
Binoculars (if you have them). I have a couple of pairs I'll bring, along with my spotting scope.
Notebook and pencil.

If you don't have the appropriate kit, now is the time to start scrounging for it!

On the list
Webby. - DEPOSIT PAID
Neilblume.
Lardassmonkey.
Jeremy Blume.
Pete 59. - DEPOSIT PAID.
Carly - DEPOSIT PAID.
Seanebabes.

Well the date counts me out of this one I'm afraid. I'm committed both days to being at the Victory Show.

Which gives me an idea... why not make a weekend of it? Come along to the Victory Show on the Saturday, see the massive number of re-enactment displays, the huge battle and browse the militaria fair to get new stuff ready to get it all dirty at the training on the Sunday.

If you do this, make sure you come along and say hello on The Far Setting Sun display. We were round the back of the pond last time and I assume will be there again this year.

We're off on a horse riding do that weekend so unless you're after a pair of dragoons I'm afraid we're out.

If you're short on brits I'd love to come along if I can borrow some kit. I can put the training into practice as a VC sniper the following weekend. I'll let any PBI members get booked on first though as I don't want to deprive any of them.

4 more spaces left guys. Axis players are more than welcome, you don't have to have Brit kit.
